“I thought you were being so nice on the phone,” I gasped. “I should have known.”

“I’m not nice, Christina. And yes, you should have known.”

I struggled, bucking my hips against his hand.

It was only at the end that I saw how much restraint this took for him too. Lust, slow and heavy, swirled through my stomach when his cock sank into me, taking and taking.

His eyes went wide. Pale, holding mine, all desire. For the first time, his cheeks were flushed. His breathing was as fast as mine.

In that moment, I didn’t feel shame about wrapping my legs around his waist, holding tight to his shoulders, burying my face in his neck. His skin was warm. Not marble, but salt and sweat and life. I kissed him, then bit him. He roared and thrust hard, his breath stealing mine as he spurted his release inside me.

When I finally climaxed — close to morning — he ordered me not to make a sound.

“Piggyback ride!” Sydney’s squeal rang out across the dark lawn. A body tackled me from behind, wrapping arms and legs around me, and I staggered under the weight.

“Girl, you have to give me more warning!” I shrieked.

“I am so ready for Light Up The Night.” Ashley bumped my hip, dragging Maria by the hand. “This week has been so fucking long…”

She was right. It was Friday night, a few days after I’d told Patrick it was my time of the month. I was ready to forget about homework, expenses, and every last detail of my sister’s wedding. I had an hour to party with my friends before I knocked on Patrick’s door and walked into the unknown. The annual bash at Chi Phi seemed perfect.

“Ash, how much tequila did you put in our drinks?” Maria leaned against Ashley, who leaned against me. Sydney’s hair was blowing in my face, the blonde mingling with the dark. The night was cold, but the wind didn’t bite. The four of us were so warm together.

“I don’t think I’m gonna make it to Chi Phi,” Maria said.

“Don’t puke,” Sydney yelled.

“You’ll make it, girl,” Ashley reassured her. “Christina, you playing designated driver tonight? You barely had anything to drink at our place.”

Sydney jounced on my back. She was getting heavy, and we weren’t moving too fast to begin with.

“I have plans tonight,” I said airily. “I told you guys. I’m meeting up with a boy.”

“Riiiight.” Maria perked up. “That Kappa Sig boy who we don’t know anything about. Patrick somebody. Who is he? I’d never heard of him.”

“I’ll tell ya about Patrick,” Sydney slurred, slinging a perfumed arm around my neck. She was sloshed already. “I’ll tell ya all about him. He’s a warm body. With a warm bed. He’s boring, and he has crappy taste in music. But he’s seriously jacked. Right, baby?”

“Right,” I giggled. “He has a body. The body makes up for everything.”

“So when do we meet him?”

“He’s shy,” I improvised. “We mostly hang out in his room. He’s better one-on-one.”

“Bo-ring,” Sydney yawned.

“Better one-on-one?” Ashley nudged me. “That doesn’t sound so boring.”

As we approached the line in front of Chi Phi, I grabbed for a subject change. “Did I tell you guys the news? Alexis just got engaged!”

My friends squealed. Alexis was the charm that made everyone forget. Sydney jumped down from my back.

“Phone. Now. Pics,” Maria ordered.
