Gate answered in his gravel voice, “Sent Ryde out, and she’s who he brought back. Maker’s sister.”

“Widow Maker?” Talon’s eyebrows rose.

“Yep,” Gate rumbled.

“Do I even want to know?” Talon asked.

“Google,” Gate shrugged. “That’s all I got.”

Talon glanced at Brick, “I didn’t even know he had a sister.”

Brick shook his head, “Surgeon, no less. How the fuck did that happen? We can ride out and see what’s what. Can’t be too hard to find a woman looks like that.”

I expected a quick goodbye and more rolling out with the brothers, but instead of agreeing, Talon stood and held out a hand to me, “Be back, but first I’m taking my girls home.”

So I put my hand in his and let Talon take us home.

Chapter Twenty-Five

Not Giving It Up

Talon

Talon rolled his Harley to a stop in front of Jenna’s townhouse, stowed his gear, and waited for her to park.

Then he stood in the cool of the Savannah morning on the pavement of the kind of neighborhood he’d sworn he’d never be caught in again, and did not give the first fuck.

Because at that moment, while Talon stood on that swank pavement in that swank neighborhood, he stood there watching the two most beautiful creatures he’d ever seen walk toward him, arm in arm, heads together, hair tangled in the breeze.

And his breath seized in his lungs as he took it in. Talon rubbed a hand across his chest and thanked a God he hadn’t prayed to in years that this was his future. These stunning beauties, these remarkable women, had been entrusted to him. His care. His protection. And he vowed that nothing from his past, nothing from his present, would ever touch them again.

He’d protect them with his life if he had to. And wouldn’t think twice about it.

Now, he just had to make sure that he and Jenna were on the same page about what exactly that future looked like. Starting with him moving in and ending with her sayingI do.

When they got within reach, Talon held out both arms, and Jenna snuggled under one while Cassie took her place under the other.

And that’s how they walked into the house that Talon was determined was about to shift from theirs totheirs. And if Jenna didn’t want him taking over part of her space, he’d buy them their space. Fuck knew he had the money.

He closed the door and locked it.

“You hungry, baby?” Jenna asked.

“Think I just wanna shower and sleep,” Cassie answered.

“Okay, I’ll be up in a while to check on you.”

Cassie tried to roll her eyes but stopped and blinked hard. “Thanks, mom. T Bird.” And with that, she took off up the stairs.

Jenna cocked her head at Talon, “Looks like you got a new nickname.”

He smirked, “Been called worse.”

“You want breakfast?”

Talon shook his head, “Wanna sleep.”

Jenna glanced from him to the front door and back.
