“Hold on.”

Ledger turns around, his long strides carry him across the garage, and then he disappears down the hallway we entered earlier. A minute later, he returns, a dark blue cloth in his hand. When he’s standing in front of me, he holds out a button-down work shirt. On the left side there's a white patch with his name embroidered on it.

“You can wear this.” A sheepish smile appears on his face. “At least it’s clean. And you don’t have to go home looking like Monica Lewinsky.”

I laugh and shake my head. I unbutton the front of my dress and it falls to the floor. He holds out his shirt for me as I put one arm in the hole and then the other. His shirt is huge on me. The bottom reaches my mid thighs, so it’s only a little shorter than my dress. I push each button through their corresponding hole. Once I’m finished, I do a twirl and hold a pose. “How do I look?”

Ledger eyes me from head to toe. “New fantasy. You in nothing but my work shirt.”

TEAM LEDGER

“You’re walking a little bow legged. You and Ledger have some fun last night.” Tatum eyes me warily before wrapping her arms around me for a hug. When we break away, she pulls out her chair and I pull out mine. The quaint café is quiet this morning, so it doesn’t take long to get our order. Aside from the days we get together with friends, Tatum and I always plan a few hours for just the two of us. Call it sisterly bonding.

Ledger and I have been determined to see each other more than once a week. We’ll do whatever it takes to make it happen. It might be a mid-day rendezvous, or an after work bite to eat. He’s come over to my place a few times and I’ve made him dinner. We’d relax on the couch together afterward and one of us would end up falling asleep. Of course, this is after exchanging orgasms. Maybe it was the orgasm coma that made us so tired. Last night was no different. He bent me over the arm of the couch with his mouth between my legs. Which is a completely different experience than when he’s on top. My other senses were heightened since I couldn’t see what he was doing. Instead, I had to experience how he lazily dragged the head of his cock up and down my slick pussy, the silver ball on the tip hitting my clit, which sent a delicious shiver up my spine. But he never entered me, not with his dick, at least. My thighs clench together just thinking about it.

“No.” A warm blush covers my cheeks and I drop my gaze, avoiding eye contact. While we didn’t have sex, we both saw stars. I most likely passed out sometime after.

“That look is telling me that no means yes. Spill it. How good was it?” The server arrives just at that moment and sets our coffees down on the table.

I lean in so no one else can hear. “The things he does, it’s like I don’t ever need sex again. My life would be one-hundred percent complete with the way he strums my clit.”

Her eyes go wide. “Wait? You two haven’t had sex yet? Because that’s not like you.”

I nibble on my thumbnail. “I told him I wanted to wait, and I don’t know why. The first time we kissed, something felt different. But mind blowing different. I want to explore those feelings more before sex complicates it.” My sister knows me better than anyone, including my relationships, and she’s right. It’s not like me. But I want to try something new since what I was doing before clearly wasn’t working anymore.

“How does sex complicate it? To me, it sounds like a good time.” She takes a sip of her coffee.

“Only because you’ve been with your boyfriend for years and you know all there is to know about each other.” Tatum met her boyfriend after they hired her at his law firm as an office administrator. “I’m still exploring. I have my treasure map and now I just need to find the X.”

“Well, you already found the O. Only a few more letters until you get to the X.”

We both laugh. “I just want to take our time. Get to know each other.”

“Did you have them put Bailey’s in your coffee?” Tatum reaches across the table for my coffee mug and lifts it up to her nose for a whiff.

“Ha ha. No. I’m just trying something different this time.” I steal my mug back from her grip.

“So, you’re telling me he’s been inside you? Just not with his penis?”

My cheeks flush and I nod. “Several times.”

“You have more willpower than me. I’d be itching to find out what he’s packing underneath his ripped jeans and Henley’s.”

“Trust me, I know what’s underneath. I just haven’t had the full Ledger experience yet.”

“It’s kinda odd that he’s so not your type. In fact, he’s like the complete opposite of your type. If your type is here,” she holds out one hand at one end of the table then points away from us, “he’s in the building across the street.”

Dropping my head to my open palm that’s propped up on the table, I exhale a sigh. “I know. I know. He just makes me feel…different. But a good kind of different. Maybe I needed a change to get me out of this dating rut.” He throws my entire world off axis. Give me a guy in a suit and tie and I know exactly what to do, but give me a guy with tattoos and a man bun and I’m a flustered mess.

“So, get him out of your system and then find someone else?” She takes a bite of her blueberry scone.

“What’s with all these questions?” I break off a piece of my cranberry lemon muffin and pop it into my mouth.

“Answering my question with a question, I see how it is. Well, I ask because you’ll need a date to Mom’s ballroom charity event.”
