“We’re definitely doing that again.”

The twinkle in her eyes tells me she wants that too. I ease out of her and playfully smack her ass. “Hold tight. I’ll be right back.”

As soon as I saw the box in her things, I had a sneaking suspicion of what was inside. Sure enough, I was right, and the opportunity wasn’t going to pass me up. The best part, Olivia was just as eager as me. She surprises me more and more every day.

I climb off the bed and make my way out of the bedroom and into the bathroom. Tugging a washcloth off the pile from the shelf, I run it under warm water. Once I return to the bedroom, I run the cloth between her legs, cleaning her up. When I’m done, I toss it to the corner of the room, landing next to the dirty laundry basket. She rolls over and climbs off the bed.

“Where are you going?” I wrap an arm around her chest and haul her to lie down next to me on the bed. I tug a small blanket over us, and I hold her in my arms.

“You’re initiating a cuddle?” She nuzzles into the crook of my arm.

“This is just my resting position.”

“Or you wanted to cuddle?” Her hand splays over my chest.

I trail my fingers up and down her forearm. “Fine. Only because it’s with you. Don’t tell anyone. I’ll deny it.”

Her shoulders bounce with laughter. She turns toward me, resting her chin on my chest. “Your secret is safe with me.” She runs a finger over one of my tattoos, tracing the outline of a feather. “Any plans for more tattoos?”

“I have an idea, but it’s not quite perfect yet.”

“What is it?”

“It’s a secret.” The corner of my lips turn up into a sly smile.

She bats her eyelashes. “Please?”

“The begging only works when I’m between your legs.”

She laughs. And it’s my second favorite sound. The first is when she chants my name. “Have you thought of getting a tattoo? Your flawless skin could use some ink.”

She tilts her head to the side, scrunching her nose as she thinks. “Not really. My parents always told me to never defile my body. No tattoos. No piercings, besides my ears. Even then it could only be my lobes. I remember my mom went into this whole spiel about tattoos are forever and what will happen when I get older.”

“You could have gotten something that’s concealed so they would never know.” I run a finger down her chest, between her tits. “Like here.” I continue to move my hand south, over her hips to cup one ass cheek. “Or here.”

“My ass?” A sexy smile graces her lips.

I wiggle my eyebrows in response.

“Even if it’s hidden, they would find out somehow. Someone would see me walk into the tattoo parlor or something.” Her gaze falls to my chest.

“Since you’re living on the edge now, dating the bad boy, might as well do something bad. Would you want to get one?” Her nose scrunches again, and fuck, she’s so cute.

“I don’t know what I would get.”

“I have an idea.”

“What’s that?”

Throwing the blanket off me, I roll out of bed. I pick up my boxer briefs and tug them on. Olivia’s eyebrows pinch together as she watches me warily. When I reach my dresser, I pull open the top drawer and dig to the bottom until I find a folded piece of paper. I had this drawn up twelve years ago, the same time I got the padlock tattoo that covers my heart. I wasn’t sure if I’d ever give it to someone, but Olivia has branded herself on me and into my life. Deep in my soul, I know this is meant to be.

Closing the drawer, I make my way back to the bed and sit down, resting against the headboard. She sits up next to me, mimicking my pose. She lifts the blanket to cover herself.

“What’s on the paper?”

I inhale a deep breath. Being vulnerable is not my thing. In fact, I do everything in my power so I’m not in that position. But this feels right. Olivia feels right. I hold out the piece of paper toward her. She peers at it, then me, and I nod for her to take it. Slowly, she plucks the white paper from my grasp, still unsure of what it could be. She peels the corner of the paper open, unfolding it.

Her head tilts to the side. “A skeleton key?”
