A couple of curses fill the air.

“So what’s more dangerous?” Maddox asks. “A trip to Russia? Or the Bratva getting their hands on the T-Force formula?”

“Fuck,” Dash hisses under his breath. “If they sell it to the highest bidder then we can count on terrorists getting a hold of it.”

“And that can’t happen,” Sailor states.

“No,” Dash agrees. “It can’t.”

“Recon?” Maddox suggests.

Dash looks over at me, as if he isn’t quite sure what he’s going to do with me while he goes gallivanting around Russia.

“You two have another job starting tomorrow,” Dash says.

“Affirmative,” Maddox confirms. “Spanish royalty.”

“Felipe’s daughter’s birthday bash,” Sailor adds.

“Right,” Dash murmurs thoughtfully. “So why don’t I do a little lowkey recon in Russia? If I find anything, we’ll come up with a plan and then you two can meet us over there after the party.”

Us.He’s taking me, too. Good because I was ready to fight him on the issue. It’s also a relief to know he isn’t planning anything too dangerous. He’d never allow me to go if he was. After seeing Dash nearly get shot and come flying over that wall and through the air like some kind of superhero, I can’t take much more of that kind of heart-pounding action.

The Slater trio decides to tuck Mila in a safehouse until Dash hears back from Caruso about the T-Force supposedly in his possession. Taking her home isn’t the best idea yet and, after getting her settled and promising to be in touch, Dash calls Finn and tells him we’re flying to Moscow, Russia.

Russia!Traveling to Russia is something I thought I’d never do and I can’t help but be excited, even amidst the chaos of the reason we’re even going there. The geek in me who loves geography and languages is already wondering where exactly we’re going and what sights I might see.

Wow.Hanging around the Slater Security crew sure includes some amazing traveling perks.

It doesn’t take long to return to the hotel. Sailor and Maddox gather their luggage, toss it into the back of the SUV and plan to drop off the rental and take a commercial flight out of Milan Airport in a couple of hours. Meanwhile, Dash decides to call a car service to drive us to the smaller private airport where Finn and the Slater jet are waiting.

Before leaving, Sailor gives me a big hug and says, “Keep an eye on him for us.”

“I will,” I promise. Although if we get in trouble, I’m not sure what good I’ll be if I have to protect Dash. Luckily, he’s pretty good at watching out for himself.

Still, though, stepping up and being there for him is something I won’t hesitate to do. As competent and strong as he may be, he’s still only human. And everyone needs backup once in a while.

Including a former Delta Force Commander Badass.

I sneak a glance over at his serious profile and heat rushes through my body as thoughts from last night flood my head. Who knew the calm, cool professional could turn into such a blazing lover? I know I don’t have anyone to compare him to, but it doesn’t matter. I know that Dash is highly skilled in not only bringing down the bad guys, but also giving a girl multiple orgasms.

“Thank you for letting me go with you,” I say, shifting slightly, trying not to think about the soreness between my legs.

Dash turns to face me and it’s the first time we’ve been alone since he went straight into mission mode after Ryan’s early morning wake up call. He’s all kinds of serious right now and I’d give anything to see him smile.

“We’ll be staying at a safehouse,” he informs me. “While I do some recon, you’ll wait there. No one knows we’re coming and I plan to have us in and out within eight hours.”

“Only eight hours?” Disappointment floods through me. I know this isn’t a sightseeing tour, but I was hoping for a little more time. I mean, how often do you go to Russia?

“This is work,” he reminds me gently.

“I know, but…” I search his intense teal gaze. “Do you ever take time to play, Mr. Slater?”

My question seems to lighten him up because he smirks. “I believe we played last night, Ms. Sullivan.” That deep, velvet voice drops a notch and I squeeze my thighs together.

“Are we going to play again?” I boldly ask.

A blue-green fire flares to life in his eyes. “I’d like that.”
