“My phone!” I reach into my jacket pocket and pull out my cell. “I put a tracker on her phone. If she still has it on her, we’ve already got her location.”Please have your phone, Ivy. Please.

No one asks why I put the tracker on Ivy’s phone. They’re smart. I’m sure they’ve already figured out I’ve fallen hard for her. Hell, they probably knew it before I did. Yeah, I’m fucking in love with her and I’m not going to deny it. I’d tag her damn ankle like a person under house arrest if that’s what it took to keep her safe.

The woman I love is in danger and I did what I needed to do in order to know her exact location in case this very scenario happened. I don’t regret a damn thing.

I bring up the app and let out a sigh of relief. “Got her,” I say.

“Where is she?” Dash asks, leaning closer.

I frown, wondering if it’s a mistake. But, no, it can’t be. “Over the Pacific Ocean,” I answer.

“Oh, shit,” Colt swears. “How is that even possible?”

“She must be on a helo or plane,” Aidan states.

Where the hell are they taking her? She’s still alive. She has to be. And that’s what I will keep telling myself.

“What’s the plan?” Maddox asks, big arms crossed over his chest.

Dash looks over at me, waiting for an answer. Leaving the decision up to me. “I’m going to fly a rescue mission and get my girl back. I need a team to help me.”

“I’ve got a team for you,” Aidan offers, and I know he’s talking about Oz, Dom, Max and himself.

I give him a nod of thanks.

“And you’ve got the Slater team and jet at your disposal,” Dash adds.

“You’re not going to like my idea,” I tell them. It’s the most goddamn crazy scheme I’ve ever had, but right now it’s time to pull a trick from my hat.

Dash only looks slightly worried, so that’s good. “We’ll do whatever we need to do in order to get your woman back, Finn,” he says.

“So what the hell’s your plan?” Maddox asks again.

“We’re going to hijack their plane.” My voice is firm and resolute.

Every eyebrow raises, but I don’t let it dissuade me. I’m going in with guns blazing and no one’s going to stop me. I quickly give them the gist of it and notice the worried glances all around. Which is a little worrisome since nothing ever seems to faze this group.

“Are you fucking kidding me?” Dash finally says, not looking as unruffled as he did moments ago.

“It’ll work,” I assure him.It has to work.

“You better hope it does or we’re all going to wind up at the bottom of the ocean,” he states darkly.

“Trust me, I got this.”

“We’ll get her back, Finn.” Maddox’s deep voice is full of confidence. I saved his ass back in the day when I flew a rescue mission to pluck him out of enemy territory and I have every faith he’s going to return the favor right now.

Determination and courage fill me. Time to get Ivy back and I’ll do whatever the hell it takes to make that happen. And thank Christ I have a team willing to do the same.

Please, God, don’t let me screw up.

Chapter Sixteen: Ivy

Rope is cutting into my wrists where they’re tied, but I ignore the pain and try to hold it together. I can’t stop thinking about Eric. The last thing I saw before they shoved me into an SUV was one of Vitello’s thugs slamming Eric on the back of his head with the butt of his gun.

What did they do to him? Is he hurt, lying somewhere and bleeding? Or did they shoot him after I was gone?

I squeeze my eyes shut, not prepared to face potentially losing Eric. I can’t. I won’t. We just promised each other we’d try and now this happens. It’s a cruel twist of fate and it’s all my fault. Every time I tried to protect him, I ended up getting him hurt.
