Standing, I gestured to leave tossing my milk in the trash but she jerked me back down. “How stupid could you be. You thought Felix would punish Arkan. Your father is trafficking women, children, and organs. It has increased his bottom line to over one hundred billion dollars, all at the courtesy of Arkan.

Yes. This is something the FBI can use. She is betraying him without knowing it.

“Why do you think that tech mogul in Hawaii, John Schaefer died of a heart attack? Are you so stupid that you believed that he had heart problems? That man was in perfect health. His heart was in good condition. That's the beauty of it. Your father took John’s heart because he promised it to Damian Juan Tenorie.”

I frowned. “Bullshit. Who is that?”

“He’s the new leader of MS-13. Do you know what your father got in exchange for it? I’m sure you don’t because you didn’t know who Damian was. Felix received two billion dollars for the heart. Fifteen hundred women and children a month were trafficked through the carte’s territories. It will net him one billion dollars a quarter. Men like Arkan and Felix don't get karma, they are the world's karma. Go back to your table little girl and enjoy your last meal. I’ll be seeing you soon.”

You played right into my hand. Who’s stupid now?

I got up. Before turning, I grabbed her hand. “Thank you so much. I knew that you would see why snitching was the right thing to do. Don’t worry, Arkan can’t touch you here.”

My voice was so loud as I spoke that it hurt my ears. Everyone around us started looking and quickly moved away from us. A fleeting glance at the guards showed that they were whispering. One of them was talking on the phone.

Goodbye bitch.

She jerked away from me. “Shut up. I didn’t tell you anything.”

I smiled. “No. Didn’t you just tell me about Arkan’s billion-dollar organ trafficking business in the underground economy? Don’t worry, my lips are sealed. Thank you, Samira. I knew you were smart.”

Suddenly, several guards surrounded her. One of them jerked her to her feet. “Let’s go.”

“Anya’s lying. I didn’t tell her anything. You must believe me.” She tried to pull away from him but they held firm.

“How could she know about the organ business? You are the only one who knew about that,” he said.

Not anymore. Now you know, I know, and the entire FBI knows.

I watched as they dragged her out.

Strong arms pulled me to the side, and I was taken to my cell. These guards were Arkan’s eyes and ears in this place. There was no way he thought that she was loyal to him now. She would be dead shortly.

I was tossed into my cell. I slid across the room and hit my head on the wall. I laid on the floor until I heard his footsteps retreat. He hadn’t shut my cell door. I sprang to my feet, rushed to the toilet, and yanked off the seat. The assholes were going to allow Samira to kill me. Then, they would kill her eliminating two birds with one stone. As long as the cell door remained open, I could escape.

Samira walked inside. “I hope you said your prayers because your life is mine now.”

She charged me. The shiv in her hand was aimed at my heart. I ducked and swung the toilet seat against her head, while forcing the weapon from her hand. I continued to beat her head until she was face down on the floor. Then, I tossed the seat at the big bitch I saw coming toward me. Sliding across the floor, I grabbed the shiv.

I stabbed her several times in the heart.

Running to Samira, I thrust the weapon into her head repeatedly. She made a strange sound and went limp. I turned her over and cut her throat for good measure. Wiping the blood on her uniform, I got to my feet and ran out of the cell. I was certain that the guards would return to finish me. The shiv I had wouldn’t work against them. As I ran past each cell the occupants screamed for me to help them. I ran faster putting distance between me and my cell.

Where is Jayden and the team? Why hadn’t they come earlier when she threatened me? They weren't coming.

If I somehow escaped, my father still wouldn’t allow me to live unless he needed me. Now that I had been kidnapped and in prisoned, no one would want me, which meant my father would kill me.

Skidding around the corner, I sensed someone lurking in the shadows. I swung the shiv, but it was quickly knocked out of my hand. I headbutted him and dove for the shiv when I was lifted off the floor.

“It's me, Jayden. Let's go.”

Ceasing my fight, I inhaled deeply. His scent filled my nostrils. He pulled out a keycard and swiped the keypad. Instead of letting the door slam close, he caught it and silently closed it. Shortly afterwards a siren went off.

“Damn, they know that you’re missing. I hope you’re not injured because we must make it to the secret passage. If they lock this building down, we can’t get out.”

“I’m good.”

Jayden began running and I followed him. I still had the shiv in my hand. If we encountered someone, I would kill them. He had kept his word and come for me. There was no way that I was dying here. Ten minutes later, we exited the secret passage. Thanks to the FBI they were the only ones who knew of its existence. We encountered no problems leaving.
