I let go and start stepping backward, studying her silhouette against the Manhattan skyline, the bridge, and the blazing sunset.

“Don’t move,” I murmur, taking my phone and snapping a picture of her silhouette against the orange sky, her hair blowing in the wind.

She turns her head and meets my eyes, the blue abyss of hers so close to mine that I feel my breath hitch in my throat.
“And you? Will you be by my side?”
She’s searching my face for the answer and doesn’t even know that I’ll trade the entire world for a minute with her.
“Anything you want, Lu,” I whisper and kiss her.
