“I should checkmy phone to make sure Becky didn’t murder Roey out of frustration,” Lu says as we lie naked on top of the sheets.
I love the way she looks stretched out on my bed, her legs slightly parted, her arms over her head.
Heaven definitely has a face, hers, with her lips curved in a little smile and a dreamy gaze I drown in.
I get up and walk to the living room, then come back with her phone, enjoying Lu’s gaze sweeping over my naked body.

She checks her phone, and her expression changes to one of shock.
“Oh, my god…” Her eyes dart over the screen. “Jace,” she whispers.
My heart does a warning thud as I lean over and read Becky’s texts.
