Her pussy throbbed at the thought of it. She felt a spiderweb of lust encircle her, constrict her, pull her so tightly that she was powerless to do anything but give in to her urges.

And then, she did what she always did. She took things too far.

She was so anxious to get everything right… that she got everything wrong.

Millie turned so that her back was to Chuck, and then tucked her fingers under the waist strap of her jodhpurs. She pulled the fabric just down far enough so that the top of her buttocks were visible.

“All the way down?” she asked, looking back over her shoulder.

Chuck’s face looked like he’d been smacked.

“M-Millie,” he stammered, “I d-don’t think… This is much too—“

But he never got a chance to finish his sentence, because, as Millie realized what a fool she’d been, the fear came rushing back, and she went running off.

CHAPTER SIX

Notforthefirsttime in Chuck North’s life, he felt like the world’s biggest idiot.

As he pushed the door to Littlecreek General Store, he felt, instinctively, that he shouldn’t be there. This trip was a mistake.

When Millie had turned and fled, he’d frozen. At the time, he thought that he should let her be, that he should give her the chance to calm down before bothering her. But as the musty smell of the unusually diverse products of the store hit him, he knew, in his gut, that he should be with her.

Making the wrong decision as usual, Chuck.

It was so obvious.

He should have chased straight after her. No, he should have quickly shouted out that he hadn’t meant to upset her. Or maybe, just maybe, he should have bent that perfect body over his knee and spanked that peachy little ass so hard that she yelped.

But he hadn’t.

So, he was the world’s biggest idiot.

Truth was, he’d been too overwhelmed. Things had been going so well. Even though Millie had grumbled a little about the work he’d made her do, she’d seemed genuinely excited and happy to be spending the day with him. Sure, she’d disobeyed him, but that wasn’t necessarily such a bad thing.

In fact, Duke and Trent had been clear about it: most Littles are disobedient from time to time. Doesn’t mean they don’t respect you, it’s just in their nature.

Maybe he was struggling with this so much because good things didn’t normally happen to him, ever.

In fact, most of the surprises in his life had been downright horrendous. The universe didn’t give nice things to Chuck North. So when Millie had reappeared in his life by some absurd twist of fate, he hadn’t just gone along with it, he’d been waiting for the catch.

Then he’d found it.

When Millie had turned around and showed him her perfect buttocks, he’d been swept away in feeling. Lust. Affection. Hope. It had floored him. And then, he’d committed the cardinal sin, the one thing that Trent had warned him about over above all else.

“Whatever you do,” his brother had said, as the three of them had poured over prospective rules and punishments, “don’t make her feel ashamed of herself. It’ll make her clam up. Don’t judge. Don’t tease—“

“You can tease,” Duke interrupted.

“About some things,” Trent clarified. “But don’t make them feel ashamed of their Littleness.”

That was the catch: he’d fucked up. In the moment, he had acted with judgment instead of acceptance. He’d fucked up. And unless he was very lucky, he’d fuck up again.

Chuck let his fingers trace over the apology greetings cards in the general store. He didn’t often come to Littlecreek town, but he felt as though this was an emergency. It wouldn’t fix the fuck-up, but it might at least show Millie that he knew he’d fucked up.

The store clerk, Perry, watched from behind the counter. Chuck was acutely aware of the older man’s eyes, sticking to him like glue. He was a good guy, but — like everyone in the small town of Littlecreek — he was something of a gossip.

It was warm in here, and the slow whooshing of the ceiling fan didn’t do much to break the heat. Chuck picked up a simple card with the word ‘Sorry’ printed on the front.
