“Hey, what? No, no,” Trent said, feeling slightly confused. “I’m not going to break up with you, sweetheart.” He pulled her into a comforting embrace. “We all make mistakes, Patti. Just tell me what’s on your mind. You’re safe with me.”

Nervously, Patti opened up. She shared her observations about the animals and how music seemed to improve their conditions. As she spoke, she kept wincing, as though she was expecting some over-the-top reaction from Trent.

When she’d finished, Trent gave her a big hug. “Wow, that’s an amazing observation,” Trent said, his eyes shining with pride. “You have the makings of an excellent vet, Patti. And you’re a great companion to the animals. So thoughtful and open-minded. Thank you for telling me.”

“Really?” Patti asked, relief washing over her like a warm wave.

“Absolutely,” he replied, smiling. “We’ll think very carefully about how to make the animals as relazed as possible. And we’ll get a proper sound system set up for them. No way I’m missing out on seeing the effects of reggae music on the dogs! And classical music for the cows.” He chuckled, shaking his head in disbelief.

Pattie winced, hoping that Trent wasn’t making fun of her.

But then, he looked straight-faced again. “Your honesty means everything to me.”

Patti nodded, but then, suddenly, she found herself giggling. “It is kind of funny, seeing the dogs chill out to Bob Marley.”

Trent laughed louder now.

“And the cows really love Erik Satie.”

Now, Trent was laughing so hard that there were tears running down his cheeks. But it was okay because Patti was laughing too. They were in this together, and it felt great.

“Can we set up the music for them tonight?” Patti asked, feeling a newfound confidence in her ideas.

“Tomorrow, sweetheart,” Trent said firmly. “Let’s give them all a night’s sleep. And besides, we have things to do. There’s a matter of discipline for breaking the rules.”

“Okay, Daddy,” she murmured, her voice barely audible. “I understand.”

Trent reached out, gently cupping her cheek. “Remember, Patti,” Trent whispered, his gaze never leaving hers. “This is because I care about you, and I want to help you grow. We’re in this together.”

Patti nodded, her eyes filling with tears once more. “Thank you, Daddy,” she whispered, leaning into his touch. “I know you’re doing this because you care.”

“You never need to worry about telling me the truth, Patti. You never need to worry about voicing your thoughts. You deserve to be heard.”

Her smile was the best gift anyone had ever given him.

In Trent’s house, Patti stood trembling, her palms resting flat on the polished wooden table before her. Her heart hammered in her chest, both nervous and excited about the punishment that awaited her.

“Alright, little one,” Trent said softly, his voice firm but gentle. “I want you to remember that this is for your own growth and that I’m doing this because I care about you.”

Patti nodded, swallowing hard as she felt a shiver of anticipation run down her spine. “I know, Daddy,” she whispered, her voice shaking slightly.

“Good girl,” he said, and she couldn’t help but feel a warm glow spreading through her at his praise.

As Trent approached her from behind, Patti closed her eyes, focusing on her breathing and trying to calm her racing thoughts. She could hear the faint rustle of his clothing as he moved, each sound heightening her senses and making her acutely aware of every inch of her body.

“Your honesty and trust are essential in our relationship,” Trent explained, his breath warm against the nape of her neck. “When you keep things from me, it hinders us both from growing together.”

“I understand, Daddy,” Patti murmured, her cheeks flushing with a mixture of embarrassment and arousal. “I promise to be more honest with my thoughts and ideas in the future.”

“Good,” Trent replied, his tone approving. “Now, let’s begin.”

Patti tensed as she felt his strong hands on her hips, gently guiding her into position. Bent over the table, she felt exposed and vulnerable—yet completely safe in Trent’s care. As she heard him step back, she couldn’t stop the small whimper that escaped her lips, her body instinctively bracing for the first strike.

“Remember to breathe, little one,” Trent reminded her, his voice steady and comforting.

Patti took a deep, shaky breath, trying to steady herself for the impending punishment. As the first impact landed, she gasped at the sudden sting, her fingers curling into fists and gripping the edge of the table.
