Page 19 of Dominant Desires

About thirty minutes later, the seat belt signs turn off, and it’s smooth sailing. The tour of the airplane leaves me even more astonished. There’re so many rooms to explore, including an office, a space for business meetings, a full bar, and even a dining area.

“This is ridiculous. You could live here.”

He glances at me. “I could.”

“Next, you’re going to tell me you have a casino.”

“Gambling is not exactly my forte,” he replies, smirking.

We stop abruptly at another door. The moment I enter the room, I can’t help becoming curious. It’s a bedroom. Although, it appears to be meant for a female.

“This room,” I hesitate, turning to face him. “Who is it for?”

His eyes project an imminent longing, an undeniable hunger. He allows his gaze to travel to my lips, to my cleavage, and my hips.

Although his facade is intimidating, as he’s most certainly in his Dominant mindset, there’s something about this moment that leaves me wanting more. Much more.

“It’s meant for your submissive.” I immediately look away. “This is where I would sleep if I travel on business with you, isn’t it?”

He nods in response, watching me intently.

Stepping further inside, I lower myself onto the bed. My fingertips trace the soft, white comforter, and my eyes close. Drifting into a different world, I slightly draw back the covers, fisting the satin sheets.

My eyes open, and Jaxon is only inches away.

“What are you doing?” I innocently ask, cheeks flushed.

“Nothing,” he answers. “Standing by my word.”

Even though I hate to admit it, I find it more than difficult to convince myself that I don’t want to submit to this man. It’s as if you can feel an electrical current in the room.

A spark.

A craving, an indescribable need.

He turns away.

Turbulence awakesme from my deep slumber. There’s a lightweight blanket draped over me, and it appears to be night as I glimpse through the windows.

“Shit,” I whisper, sitting upright.

“Sleep well?”

Jaxon sits several feet away, holding a glass of red wine.

Without saying a word, I nod.

He stands, placing his glass onto the table. “Would you like a glass?”

“Please.”

The wine is astringent, leaving my mouth dry, yet the finish is more than delightful. After nearly drinking the entire glass, my head becomes lighter, and I’m stunned to already feel a slight buzz.

“How long was I asleep?” I ask.

“A few hours.” The ringing of his cellphone sounds, and he reaches into the pocket of his suit. “I have to take this. Excuse me.”
