“Whathewanted?” Nathan parrots, and he glares at Milo.

He looks like he’s lost himself. “I’m sorry. She made it impossible to deny her.”

She leans in to whisper something into his ear. We can’t hear it, but the look on Milo’s face as he melts away tells us enough. He’s smitten.

Nathan points his blade at her. “You …”

Fuck.

Lana suddenly shoves Milo face-forward and thrusts her knife mere inches from my face. “You put a fucking camera in my room.”

Oh … now I understand why she’s so upset.

She fishes something from her pocket and chucks the debris at me. “Here’s what’s left of it.”

SLICE!

I narrowly avoid a cut in the face as I lean back and grasp her arm midair, but she swiftly jerks free and starts to fight me.

Nathan aims, but Milo throws his nunchucks at the knife, which clatters onto the floor.

“What the fuck, Milo?”

“Don’t hurt her,” he says. “Please.”

Nathan storms at him and grips him by the throat. “Are you out of your mind?”

But I’m far too busy fending off Lana’s attacks as she strikes left and right with her knife, nearly puncturing my skin like she wants to kill me.

“Is that how you fucking knew my login info?” she yells. “You watched my laptop?”

“That’s not all I watched,” I muse.

SLICE!

She cuts into my arm, the warm blood oozing from my skin.

“You had no fucking right!”

Suddenly, Harvey jumps up from his chair and attempts to run off through the other exit.

“Nathan!” I yell while trying to stop Lana from thrusting her knife into my chest. “Harvey is getting away!”

But he’s far too busy with Milo, who’s attached himself to his legs like a bunch of bricks.

Lana’s eyes follow the man, and right before he exits through the door, she stops fighting me and chucks a knife right at his neck. A whelp follows a thud as he drops to the floor, blood pouring from the wound.

“There. Solved your fucking problem.”

“Fuck!” I yell.

“What happened?” Nathan calls, dragging Milo by the arm.

“Harvey is dead,” I say.

Lana whips her knife around my face, and we continue to dance around each other, avoiding each other’s strikes.

“What?” Nathan growls, incensed as he shoves Milo away and storms at Lana.
