Page 67 of Wrathful Malice

Rogue, Thorn, Grim and Mark gather around them, and I push my way through the sea of testosterone.

“Sheis right here and can speak for herself,” I snipe.

Grim drops his arm around my neck and pulls me into his side, glaring at each of his brothers. I pat his chest and smile up at him.

“What do you want to do darlin’?” Thorn asks.

“I’ll ride with Malice.”

Malice glares at Soul with a smirk but speaks to me as he reaches for my hand. “Let’s get out of here.”

“I’m only riding with you because I don’t want to be near Travis and Jason, not because you ordered me to,” I sass.

Rogue chuckles. “There she is.”

Soul was right. They’ll never touch me again. I’m not going to be their victim. I was caught off guard with them showing up in Boulder City, but I’ll be damned if I let them keep coming after me. This shit ends tonight.

“Head on back to the clubhouse,” Soul instructs. “I’m gonna go talk to Jez, see if I can talk her into coming with us. I’ll be right behind you.” As if on cue, Soul’s cell pings, and he pulls it out of his pocket. He stares at the screen and then laughs. “Never mind.” He flips the cell so we can see the text from his sister. “She’ll come later.”

We all load up and head back to the clubhouse. With my arms wrapped around Malice’s waist, my thoughts focus on the whys and hows of all this crap. Why would Jason and Travis come all the way from Indiana after all these years?

Once we’re out of the city limits, Malice picks up speed, and I grip him tighter. Before I know it, we’re pulling into the garage at the clubhouse.

I climb off the back of Malice’s bike and watch Rogue park the SUV near the elevator. Mark leaps out of the backseat and hurries over to me and pulls me into a hug. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Malice staring at us, but he wisely says nothing as he strides to the SUV as Thorn and Rogue pull Travis and Jason out of the cargo area.

Their eyes are bloodshot, and they rapidly shake their heads while trying to scream from behind the duct tape.

“Take them to the Confessional,” Soul demands after parking his Harley.

Grim tosses Travis over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes, while Thorn and Rogue drag Jason behind them. Without a backward glance, they all disappear around the corner. The rest of us take the elevator to the common area, where the other club members and ladies are waiting.

The moment the doors slide open, Cece runs and jumps into Soul’s arms. After frantically kissing him, she slides back down his body and faces me.

“You okay?” she asks, and I nod.

“Cece, stay with her.” Soul jerks his chin toward Malice. “We’re going down to the Confessional.”

“You keep mentioning this Confessional. What is it?” My brows furrow in confusion. “Isn’t that what you do at a church?”

Malice’s chuckle is manic. “We’re gonna give Travis and Jason a chance to confess their sins before we fucking bury them for ever daring to touch you.”

“I’m coming with you.”

“The fuck you are.”

“I have a right to know why those assholes are stalking me.”

“Apple, you’re not a member of the MC.” Soul holds up his hand before I can interrupt. “We’ll let you know what they say if I deem that necessary, but know this… After tonight, youneverhave to worry about those fuckers again.”

With my hands on my hips, I narrow my eyes. “I should get to question them.”

“My club, my rules.” Soul’s tone leaves no room for argument. “We’ll be back soon. For now, hang out with the ladies.”

Malice grips my chin gently, forcing me to look at him. “I get it. You want answers.I’llget them for you.”

A tear slides down my cheek, and Malice brushes it away with his thumb. “I want them to pay,” I whisper harshly.

“They will.” He kisses my forehead and follows Soul to the elevator.
