“Anything for you, Doc.”

“I love you.”

“I love you too.”

A horn blared, jolting us apart.

“Watch where you’re going, asshole!” Xaiden yelled out the open window.

“Fuck you!” we heard back.

Val leaned across Xaiden and shouted, “Fuck you too!” I had a feeling if we hadn’t been moving, Val would have tried to jump out and fight with the guy.

He sat back in the seat and took my hand in his again like nothing happened.

Weekend traffic meant more people visiting the city that weren’t local, due to the big concert tonight in West Dremest. It was why we wanted to get in and out before the streets filled. We had to drive past the arena unless we wanted to detour and take longer.

We heard on the radio in the truck people had already started arriving in hopes of getting a glimpse of the band. Xaiden asked Val if he wanted to go since he knew Val loved the band, but Val declined, saying crowds weren’t his thing. He was hoping once the tour ended, he could catch them at their family’s restaurant. I didn’t know a lot about them except they were local, their family ran a farm and a successful eatery, and JJ and Val loved them.

By the time we got to my condo, Xaiden had the wheel in a death grip and was muttering about driving the truck through the city. How he didn’t care if it took longer, no way was he fighting through that traffic again. I guessed we were taking the scenic route back.

I had just stepped onto the pavement when my neighbor, Desiree, was in front of me. “Corbin, there you are. I haven’t seen you in a while, though I heard you’ve found yourself two men. No wonder you didn’t want to come over for dinner.” She winked. Sure, that was the reason. She looked at Val and Xaiden and promptly introduced herself.

Val shook her hand, but irritation was written all over his face. He took my hand in his and pulled me to his side, like he was claiming me in front of her. I had to admit, I liked it.

Xaiden came to my other side and put his arm around my waist. He proceeded to kiss the breath out of me. I was light-headed when he released me. His eyes shimmered with happiness, but his words held none of that. “Corbin is ours.” He stared pointedly at Desiree. “And we’re not letting him go.”

Desiree put her hands up in surrender, though a smile curved her red lips.

“Now if you’ll excuse us,” Xaiden said. “We have to move Corbin out of here and into my house with Val.” He effectively dismissed her after that, dragging me toward my condo. I happily followed behind him.

I unlocked my door and glanced around the room when we stepped inside. I’d already packed my belongings on the days I didn’t have work while Xaiden and Val were at their jobs. It made it easier on me. I didn’t have to rush through it. I could decide what I wanted to take and what I wanted to donate.

Strong arms wrapped around my waist from behind. “How many times are we going to have to claim you as ours?” Xaiden asked with his lips pressed to my neck and his hardening dick against my ass.

My head dropped back to his shoulder. “Daily, if this is the reaction I get.”

Val stepped in front of me, his hands going to my hips. “I think Corbin likes it when we get possessive of him.”

“Yes,” I moaned as Val pushed his dick alongside mine, where it had quickly grown hard in my shorts.

Xaiden bit my neck. It was enough to sting but I doubted it would leave a mark. “No time for play. We have to get everything into the truck and drive to Val’s. Tonight though, we’re going to remind you exactly who you belong to.”

“Please.” I wasn’t above begging.

And just like that they were gone, while I had to lean against the back of the couch to hold myself upright. “Fuckers,” I grumbled when I came back to my senses. I palmed my dick and adjusted it, so I was more comfortable.

Xaiden’s laugh carried throughout the space as he went up the hall to my bedroom. The furniture was staying for now. I was due back here on Monday to meet with a local company who was picking it up. They said they already found a family in need who could use it. The family had lost their belongings in a fire and were trying to get back on their feet. I was more than happy for the pieces I’d bought to go to them.

It took multiple trips up and down the stairs with boxes. We opted not to use the elevator. I was on the second floor and had some elderly neighbors who I didn’t want to have to wait if they needed to leave.

We piled the boxes in the truck, then we went back for some small appliances I didn’t want to part with. I also had tall lamps and other miscellaneous things. I didn’t end up filling as much of the truck as I thought I would. Xaiden probably could have gotten away with renting a smaller vehicle. He just shrugged and closed it when we were done.

I went inside to make sure we didn’t miss anything. The space was eerily quiet. The walls were still bare. The furniture still bland. I realized I wasn’t really living when I moved here. I went through the motions. I went to work where I thrived but when I came home, I just existed. It wasn’t until Xaiden and Val entered my orbit that my life exploded with more than I could ever anticipate. They brought love and light. Comfort and acceptance. They held me when I was down and lifted me when I needed it.

“Ready?” Xaiden asked.

I turned to find him and Val standing near the door. With one last look around, I said, “Yeah, I am.” I wasn’t going to miss this place. It was simply a stopover until I found where I was meant to be and with whom. I was ready to put this part of my life in the past.
