I snickered. “That’s what you said the last two times.”
“This is different. I can feel it in my soul.”
“Dad! Kensley is mocking me again. She said I can’t fly as good as her! She’s a liar.”
“Mom, Kelani is calling me names!”
Me and Zell locked eyes. “Can you make us disappear?” I asked.
He chuckled before placing a kiss on my forehead. “I’ll get the girls. You and Kai get some rest.”
My brows furrowed. “Who’s Kai?”
He smiled with pride. “Our son. I searched his soul. I was thinking we could name him after me, but call him Kai.”
I thought of Zell’s real name and a smile spread across my face. “Malakai Zellian the third. I like that.”
“Sleep tight, my little bee.” Zell kissed me one more time before leaving the room.
“Dad!” Kensley screamed again as he shut the door.
Laying there with my thoughts, I thought about how perfect my life was. Not once did I consider that being contracted to a demon would get me a perfect husband who loved me for who I was, and three perfect demon babies. I laughed aloud before wiping a tear from my eye.
Not only did I get to save hundreds of lives throughout the years, I finally had the family I always wanted.
