I blink. “Yes?”
She laughs, the sound light and sweet. “Of course, yes!” She presses her hand to my chest. “I love you, Cole.”
Swallowing hard, I slip the ring with trembling fingers. Amber holds it up, her eyes glittering far brighter than the diamond she’s gazing at. Her green eyes lift to mine, shining with the truth of her words as she smiles. “Does this mean you’ll never let me go?”
“Never,” I vow.
I grab her, hauling her against me so I can seal the promise with my lips. My thundering heart against hers. My soul.
As I lay her back on the bed, idly wondering if I should put the cuffs back on, I don’t break the kiss, as if it’s symbolic of what I plan for the rest of our lives.
I meant what I said.
I’m never letting her go.
