“So close, please don’t stop.”

“This time I won’t,” he growled, pummeling her pussy, “but next time…”

“Rick…I’m there…” she wailed, throwing back her head and letting out a cry.

He wanted to watch as the convulsions rippled through her, but he suddenly found himself swept away by his own powerful orgasm.

With the shower in his motorhome too small for the two of them, Rick insisted she go in first. As she stepped into the tiny stall, he slipped into a pair of boxers, then cracked some eggs into a bowl. But before he could whip them up and pour them into a pan his phone rang. Quickly stepping back to the bed, he snatched it off the nightstand and looked at the screen.

It was Ben.

His stomach flipped, but telling himself he was just being paranoid, he took a breath and answered the call.

“Mornin’, Ben.”

“Hey, Rick. Is everything okay over there?”

“So far, why? Has something happened?”

“Well, yes and no. Big John showed up late yesterday. I was goin’ to call you after he left, but I decided to wait. You two deserved a bit of R and R, especially Bailey,”

“Thanks, Ben, I appreciate that. She was pretty wired, but she’s fine now. So what’s goin’ on? What did the bastard have to say?”

“He was mad as hell—accused me of takin’ his horses. He said the hoof prints led him through the trees, up the hill and down to my place. Not only that, he saw a woman’s footprints as well.”

“Dammit.”

“I told him I let a husband and wife go for a short trail ride and they must have ended up at his field.”

“Ben, you’re a genius. Did he buy it?”

“He seemed to. He settled down after that, but I’d called Trevor and he arrived.”

“You still sound worried.”

“That’s because his cousin was with him. His name’s Tom, and he’s sharp, like, crazy sharp. When they left I had a bad feelin’ in my gut.”

“No shit.”

“No shit,” Ben repeated. “I know Bailey’s horse and the other two will be safe there, but the rodeo ends in a couple of days. Maybe you should get out sooner rather than later.”

“You could be right,” Rick said thoughtfully, looking up as he saw Bailey step out of the shower wrapped in a towel. “I’ll talk to her about it now.”

“You can borrow my rig if you want. If memory serves me right, she said her barn’s only a couple of hours away.”

“Yeah, it is.”

“You can leave early in the mornin’ and be back by the afternoon.”

“That’s not a bad idea. Thanks, Ben. I’ll get back to you.”

“What was all that about?” Bailey asked as he ended the call.

“I was talkin’ to Ben. Get dressed, I’ll take a quick shower and tell you all about it over breakfast.”
