I blushed.

“You and Dion?” Celia asked, frozen in place. And it was her turn to look shocked. “I thought he was single?”

I didn't like the way she said it. It made me wonder if something had happened between them and, even if it hadn't, did she have some hope that it would in the future?

“He is single.”

“Titles.” Elodie waved her hand between us like she was brushing away my words. “Dion is absolutely crazy about Lola. He has been since I met him. Hell, it's the reason I met him.”

Celia's eyes met mine, appraising me with newfound interest. But she didn't look bothered by the news. “Anyway, it's only a matter of time before Dion makes it official.”

“We will see,” I murmured noncommittally.

“You will see what?” A familiar husky voice spoke from the doorway and I whirled about. A blush crept up my cheeks.

“Elodie was just filling me in on your relationship with Lola.” Celia giggled. I shot her a death stare before turning back to the man in question.

“I've told them it’s not a relationship.”

Dion stalked towards me, his arms capturing me around the waist and pulling me closer to the warmth of his body. Two strong hands slipped up and under the bottom of my jumper to rest on the small of my back.

“Isn't it?” One dark eyebrow arched. “I think it is,ifwe are putting labels on things.”

My tongue felt glued to the roof of my mouth. Words escaped me. “L–labels?” I couldn't get the words out. His hands on my skin were too distracting.

“Oh, you guys are so cute.” Elodie's voice seemed to come from far away. “Come on, Celia, let's take these into the others and give the love birds some alone time.”

“So, what do you have against labels?” Not waiting for the kitchen door to slam behind the two women, Dion lifted me up, depositing me on the kitchen side. He slid easily between my thighs, his fingers massaging the tops of my thighs as he searched my face.

“Nothing.” And I didn't. Not really. But it was much too soon to put any kind of label on whatever the hell was going on between us. “It's just–”

“Just nothing, Lola, do you remember Vegas?”

I frowned. Of course I remembered Vegas. How could I forget? It was both the most exciting and most awful time in my life. So much had changed that day.

“Yeah, of course I do.”

“Then you remember what I asked you?” His eyes narrowed as I paused. “I asked you to marry me, Lola.” Dion sighed.

“You were drunk and joking and–”

He shook his dark head. “Wasn't joking. I was deadly serious. I turned up, but you had already left.” His arched eyebrow lifted even more. “Didn't you know that?”

I shook my head. Guilt ripped its way through me. He had turned up? I had always assumed that Erik had told him I had left, and in my mind, Dion had always let out a sigh of relief at the news.

Hearing it didn't go down like that made me feel strange. Like I had missed out on a huge moment of my life.

“Dion.”

His fingers left my thigh, trailing up my body as he tapped right above my heart. “The moment I asked you, I knew, Lola. You…” he tapped my heart again before reaching between us to do the same to himself, “...are mine. My woman, my girlfriend.” His head ducked down until his forehead rested on mine. “My fiancée.”

I swallowed hard.

Chuckling, he pressed his lips to mine. “But it's fine that you aren't there yet. This relationship is a lot newer to you than it is to me. So, we will put whatever label on it that you want to. Just as long as you know.” His eyes bored down into mine. “You are mine.”

DION

Iloved my band mates like brothers, but Christ, they were annoying. It was more than the fact that they just wouldn't leave despite every single one of them knowing I wanted alone time with Lola. And that it was causing me to have the worst case of blue balls in the history of the world. There was also the fact that they seemed hellbent on keeping her away from me.
