“Are you sure?” The wobble in my voice couldn't be hidden. “You could have any woman you want, Dion Granger.”

In answer, he reached up, hooking his arms below my ass and picked me up so my lips were on the same level as his. I wrapped my legs around his waist, my arms around his neck. But neither one of us closed the inches that were separating our lips.

“And yet.” His lips edged forward an inch. “The woman I want is still not answering my question. What's the matter, future Mrs Granger?” His eyebrow quirked up. “Are you scared of committing to a cranky rockstar who wants to worship you every single day of the rest of your life?”

“Yes.” His minty fresh breath washed over my face and I closed my eyes. “I’m terrified.”

“You don't need to be. Just say yes, Lola. Put me out of my misery.”

“Yes.” The word slipped out of my lips in a whisper.

Dion's eyes blazed to life.

“Did you just say yes, Mrs Granger?” Nipping at my bottom lip, both his hands kneaded my ass in delicious circles, pulling me into him more snugly. “Did you just agree to marry me?”

Unable to speak with my lip trapped between his teeth, I nodded.

“Good, God.” He moved between my legs. “And now you do need to be terrified.” He winked, loosening his grip on my lip as he glanced around.

“I do? Why?” I giggled.

“Because I want to fuck you and I don't think the desk will take both our weights. I am willing to give it a go, though.” Mischief lit his eyes up as he continued to gyrate against me. His jeans did nothing to mask what was happening on the other side of his zipper. “I think it’s important to make sure my fiancée is well and truly fucked before she goes back to work, don't you? Maybe against the wall?” To prove his point, he took a step in that direction. “Do you think these walls are thick enough to hide your screams, babe?” His grin grew. “What? you don't think I can get away with fucking you at work?”

In answer, I kissed him. “I think you're terrible, Dion Granger.”

“Do you? Good, because I think it's all your fault, Mrs Granger.”

“I'm not your wife yet. I could change my mind.” I was teasing, and we both knew it.

“Yeah, I'm not going to let that happen. That's why all of your stuff is being moved into my place even as we speak.”

I felt my eyes grow round. “You did what? What if I wanted to live with Elodie still?” Cocking my head to the side, I tried to make my face serious and failed. “What if I'd said no?”

“If you had said no, I would have sent the stuff back or given you the apartment for yourself. I hate being there without you, anyway. But I knew you weren't going to say no to me. You never do.”

“I'm saying no to sex in my work,” I pointed out. “It's just not appropriate.”

“Fine.” My feet hit the carpet as Dion loosened his grip on me, but kept me in his arms. “No sex at school, but the moment you get home.” He winked. “The moment you step through the door, I'm having you. All of you, Lola. In fact, I'd start taking your clothes off in the lift so we don't waste any time.”

Throwing back my head, I laughed. “Deal, now leave so I can go to work.” Straightening my clothes, I couldn't help the small smile that played across my mouth. We still had a lot to talk about. And he was right when he said living with him wasn't going to be easy. But then, nothing worth having was easy. And Dion was worth having.

“Go to work before I do some really naughty things with you.” Dion's grin was ecstatic.

“Fine, I'll see you later after work.” Reaching up, I kissed his cheek. “At home.”

“God, I like it when you call it our home.” He called out after me. “Oh, and Lola?”

I paused with my hand on the doorknob, looking over my shoulder at him.

“I've just realised I've not said this to you properly before. I love you.”

LOLA

Ihadn't even raised my hand to knock on the door when it swung open and Dion appeared, wearing nothing but a smile and grey sweatpants slung low on his hips. My mouth grew dry at the sight of him. It was more than the chiselled abs and the damp, dark hair. It was him. His very essence. He exuded sex appeal without even trying. In fact, he was even sexier when he wasn't even trying, if that was possible.

“I thought you would never get here.” The corners of his mouth twitched. “I almost started without you.” Dark eyebrows worked their way upward. Not letting me answer him, he pulled me inside, kicking the door shut behind me. The door hadn’t even slammed before his fingers were on the buttons of my coat. “I'm pretty sure I said to start stripping in the lift.” Laughing, he popped the last button and unfurled my coat like he was unwrapping a present. With a whistle, he stood back, holding me out at arm’s length. He raked his eyes over me. “God you look hot. Have you changed since I saw you earlier? I'm pretty sure you have because…damn.”

“No, Dion.” He was so silly sometimes, but I liked it. I loved it when he was playful and goofy with me. “I haven't changed since I saw you this morning.”
