"Someone isn't who I want, I don't know who I want otherwise I would," Gray utters.

"Are you not even gonna stick up for me here? We went through legitimate trauma together and you're letting him rip into me?" Gray asks Liam, his face an image of shock.

"If I didn't agree with him, I'd totally take his side but as it happens, he's right for once," Liam says as he continues roaming his hands through my hair, totally unbothered by anyone around us.

"You guys are shit today, I am so not keen on you two right now. So much for being my fucking bestie beans. What time's your maker coming tomorrow?" Gray asks me as he changes the subject.

Crow covers his mouth as he attempts to hide a laugh - failing epically too, might I add. I give him a short glare before turning my attention back to Gray.

"He is not my maker," I hiss out, "and I don't know, I'm pretty sure Dad told me but I've forgotten. Are you sticking around tomorrow too?" I wonder.

"Are you kidding me? I love you, but hell no. It's weird enough knowing our mother’s a hoe that kept half your DNA hidden, but I do not need to meet that half. What if I find him really attractive and end up screwing your daddy? Oh, that would be a good story. You should write that. Take notes." He hands me my phone and waves his hand around in a writing motion as if to tell me to get on with it.

"You are so disturbed," I huff out with a laugh that follows as I take my phone from him.

"For being gay or for potentially being into your daddy?" he asks, his eyebrows wagging my way with a smirk.

Even though I've suspected as much many times, this is the first time Gray has ever openly told me that he's gay, and the fact that he's doing it in such a relaxed way makes me beyond happy. I worried for such a long time that he felt the pressure of making an announcement when I don't think it should ever be that way. It should be as simple as saying, 'hey, I love this person'.

"Definitely the second option." I laugh, enjoying the glee on Gray’s face.

"What type of guy would you go for? I mean, if I ever potentially found someone that I thought would be a good fit for you?" I wonder.

"Are you kidding me? Isn't it obvious?" Crow asks, his head falling back with a laugh as he pats a glaring Gray on the shoulder.

"What? No, why would it be obvious?"

"He's a little baby bottom, aren't you, bro?" Crow says as he ruffles Gray’s hair.

"I honestly don't know why we're friends at this point," Gray mutters grumpily.

"I thought you were fucking Ben?" Liam asks, his eyes wide as if trying to figure out how that worked since Ben gave off major bottom energy.

I'd been curious about their flirtatious nature for a while but didn't want to intrude by asking.

"Haven't found anyone worth being a bottom for." He shrugs.

"Wait, so are you and Ben actually a thing?" I ask.

Liam nods his head at me and gets a glare from Gray.

"No, we are not a thing. We just mess around sometimes. He's too… nice," he says with a grimace just as Dad walks in behind him.

"Who's too nice?"

All of our eyes divert to my dad, Gray's wide eyes included.

"Liam," I say, completely unsure of why, but it was the first name that came into my head.

My dad's brows crease. "Liam's too nice?" he asks, his voice totally unbelieving. "For what? A fucking mass murderer? That's about the only thing he won't do." He huffs and rolls his eyes and pulls his phone out of his pocket.

"How's the fighting going? Victor said Theo's in impeccable shape," he tells us, showing us a clip on his phone of Theo sparring with someone.

"Victor sent you that? He's a fucking shithead, I don't care how much sucking up he does," Crow says, shaking his head and leaning back from the phone screen so that I can see.

"Yep, he's been keeping me in the loop," my dad tells us.

I watch the video, my face practically glued to the screen as I witness the brutal punches and lethal force that leaves Theo as he trains with a man I don’t know or recognise. The strength and power behind his punches terrifies me. The idea of him coming towards me with that force sends shivers down my spine, makes my hands shake, and my heart race far more quickly than should be possible.
