I roll my eyes at her. “Syn, I know I can act like your typical omega sometimes, but I think I’ve proven a few times through the years that not all omega instincts apply to me. I clearly had just as strong of a reaction to her scent as you two did by the way I tackled and fucked you into the floor twenty minutes ago, and that was just a faint whiff. I can’t imagine how I’d react to getting it straight from the tap.” My eyes glaze over as I lick my lips again, trying to imagine it.
I shiver and nearly whine, but I hold it in. Focus River. Knight growls against me again.
“Now seeing that, you and another omega together, just might be the hottest thing I see if it happens,” he whispers against my throat and I flush, heat spreading through my belly and straight to my cock.
Damn him. I will not let him distract me right now. I give him a dirty look and he gives me an unapologetic one back. Bastard. I scoot closer to Syn and take her hand in mine.
“Will you please stop with the guilty look? You did nothing wrong, Syn. You can’t help how you responded to her scent. The good thing is, Kian got you out of there to calm you down.”
“But it shouldn’t have happened! Mated alphas rarely have such a visceral reaction to an unbonded omega.”
While it is true that once an alpha has mated an omega, they don’t tend to be as affected by unmated omegas, it isn’t impossible. It’s the omegas that keep their alphas from pursuing the other one. No alpha wants to piss their omega off by going crazy over another. Which is why I assume Syn is feeling so guilty right now.
I’ll just have to make sure she understands I’m not freaking out. In the end, they did nothing wrong. They helped someone in trouble. Made sure she was safe. And yeah, they had a reaction to her. But they didn’t act on it, not that I thought they would. Besides, I clearly had a reaction to her scent as well.
I grab her chin and make her look me in the eye so she can see the sincerity in them.
“Listen to me Syn. Actually hear me, okay?” She nods and I continue. “I am not angry with you. You didn’t do anything. You can’t help that you had a biological reaction to this girl’s scent. I’m glad that you were there to help her. Gods know what Vick could have done to her if someone hadn’t stepped in. So, stop worrying. I’m fine. More than fine. The longer I sit next to you, the more I want to throw you down and ravage you again. Your scent mixed in with hers?” I groan.
She chuckles at me and swats my chest with the back of her hand. I smile back and wrap my arm around her shoulders, reclining us back on the couch and relaxing into the soft cushions. I sigh as she curls herself close to me.
“I meant it when I said I’d like to meet her. If that were possible. Sucks I didn’t go with you guys. I missed all the fun.” I pout playfully at Kian, and he nudges his foot against mine, rolling his eyes.
“Trust me. It was not fun. All those scents together at once. I don’t remember it being so suffocating when we attended yours.”
“That’s because you all were so dick charmed by me.”
Syn raises a brow at me, so I amend my statement.
“Dick and pussy charmed.” I give her a lascivious grin.
I love it when we’re all together. Everyone has been so busy lately that it feels like it’s been forever since we were all together just sitting down and relaxing. Well, except Nico. He’s the only one missing.
“Where’s Nic?” Kian asks, like he heard my thoughts or something. Which, he didn’t.
Knight is the one to answer him.
“I saw him down here earlier before I went and crawled in the bed with River. He said he was going to join us, but I fell asleep. Maybe he’s in his room. Want me to go check? It’d be nice to sit together and maybe watch a movie.”
I cock a brow at him.
“Just a movie, Knight. I want to cuddle with my alphas and beta. I think you guys wore me out enough today.”
Syn snorts, and I glare at her. Traitor. She quickly slaps an innocent look back on her face, but she’s ridiculous. Nobody would label Syn Kingston innocent.
Knight gets up and goes in search of our missing pack member. While I’m bonded to all three alphas and Kian, Nico is only mated to me. Oh, we all have fun in group settings when it comes to intimacy, but Nico only fucks me. It messes nothing up, just means he gets a little extra loving since I’m his only outlet. But with another omega around...
I roll my eyes at myself. I really need to get a fucking grip. Our pack is complete. Knight might have said he’d love to see me and the other omega together, but that doesn’t mean he wants to add anyone to our pack. Bringing an unbonded omega around just to fuck isn’t right. She’s probably really wanting her own pack. Besides, why would she want to meet me? Just because her scent makes me want to drill a hole in a wall from fucking her so hard against it, that doesn’t mean she’d feel the same about me.
It’s not like it’s a possibility that I’d ever see her. Who knows where she lives now? I should have asked how she reacted to them when we were still on the subject. I don’t want to bring it all up again now, though. Best to just let it go.
Knight comes stomping down the stairs, a rumpled Nico in his wake.
“You didn’t have to wake him up, Knight. Good grief.”
“It’s fine, Riv. I wanted to come down and spend time with everyone, anyway. And get some cuddle time in with my omega.” He smirks at me, diving onto my other side and dragging me in his big arms, devouring my mouth.
I’m panting when he finally pulls away, licking his lips, a lustful gleam in his eyes that promises he’s not finished with me. So... maybe not just a movie and cuddle.
