Robin gave her a smile in return. “Yeah, I hope so.”

El met her eye. ‘Why wouldn’t it be?”

“It’s a Tell-All,” Robin said, a new kind of excitement generating in her stomach. “You never know what someone is going to say.”

“True.” Eloise looked around at the group. AJ had settled across her and El, with Kelli right beside her. Her step-daughter held Asher on her lap as she rubbed creamy, white sunscreen into his white-white baby skin.

Laurel sat under an extra umbrella, and Paul wafted air toward her with an oversized fan. Robin smiled at them, but Laurel wasn’t looking at her. Rather, Alice had sat beside her, and the two of them were already engaged in a conversation. Jean and Reuben took up spots next to Alice, and then Theo and Kristen, who’d taken the place next to Robin.

“Are these open?” Clara asked of the seats on the other side of El, and she nodded.

“Yep.” She got up to help Clara and Lena, as Scott hadn’t come due to a migraine.

Once all the kids had gone off to the surf, Robin felt the weight of every eye on her. She supposed she had called the Tell-All, and she looked over to where El held hands with Aaron. El nodded at her, and Robin drew in a deep breath.

“All right,” she said. “Let the Tell-All begin.”

ChapterTwenty

Eloise could only grin. No one said anything. The breeze and the distant call of kids in the ocean was the only thing she could hear, and she shook her head. Leave it to Robin to call the Tell-All and then say nothing.

“Why don’t you go first?” she prompted.

Robin looked at her with wide, blue eyes. “I have to go first?”

“You called it,” Alice said.

Eloise didn’t need to point out that she and Alice had seconded the Tell-All. Everyone knew, no matter how many messages had flown back and forth since then.

“I’ll go first,” Kristen said. She cleared her throat as all eyes moved to her. “I kissed Theo on the Fourth of July.” She nodded like that was that. Theo grinned at her and then around at everyone else. He deliberately lifted her hand to his lips and kissed it too.

Eloise found him charming and perfect for Kristen, and she turned in surprise as Aaron started clapping. “Good job, Kristen,” he said.

Eloise tried to grab his hand and stop him from clapping again. “What? This isn’t what you do at a Tell-All?”

“No,” she hissed at him. “Stop it.”

He grinned at her, but thankfully, he did stop. He was relaxed, casual, and oh-so-sexy. Eloise didn’t think he fit with all the tension radiating under the tents.

“I have something,” Laurel said. “I’ve only told Alice, but Paul and I are having a boy.”

“I knew that,” AJ said, frowning. “You told us on the group text.”

“Let her finish,” Alice said.

Laurel smiled at AJ, and Eloise was glad at least one of them didn’t get offended at the slightest things. “We’ve had a hard time coming up with a name,” Laurel continued. “But we think we’ve finally landed on one.”

She looked at Paul, but he zipped his lips. Laurel laughed lightly and said, “Fine, I’ll tell it.”

“It’s your Tell-All,” Paul said.

“We’re going to name him Jamison,” she said. “Probably call him James.”

“Oh, that’s perfect,” Eloise said. “James Lehye.” She tried out the name in her mouth, and it fit nicely.

“And I’m probably going to quit the police force when he comes.” Laurel sat back, the waves of stunned silence now rolling through the gathered crowd.

Eloise jerked her attention to her husband. “What?” she asked at the same time he sat forward.
