KAYLA

Idecided today was going to be a Logan-free day. I have been so drained by the back and forth we have had ever since he came back and I could help but clamor for a break, far from the house, where he is always at.

"I love it when you call me to go shopping with you, but I love it more when you are paying," Jessica teased and I chuckled, I loved being around Jessica because of her contagious humor and that was exactly the kind of humor I needed right now, to rid me from all the negative effects of Logan.

"I haven't seen Logan since he came back,"

I almost slapped my palms to my forehead, I left house to escape from Logan, and now here was Jessica, talking about the same insufferable asshole.

"He is around,"

"Logan!" Jessica exclaimed and I could grope the excitement in her voice,

"Logan?" I repeated after her as my eyes trailed to the far end of the mall as I saw Logan walking towards me, there was a lady by his side, and I recognized her immediately.

"Samantha," I whispered underneath my breath.

That piece of shit! He lied, he said he wouldn't be seeing her.

As he approached me, I sighed and veered around to leave the mall, but he caught up with me.

"Kayla, it isn't what you think,"

That sounded like some sort of cliche line from all the movies that starred around men being caught cheating.

"I don't care, Logan, you can do whoever you want," I paused and let an exasperated gasp out. "I just want to be left alone, far from you,"

"Does my present agitate you this much,"

I stared behind him, as I see Jessica gazing at me and the human doll Samantha watching with a bored face.

"Don't you have your doll to go back to,"

"I don't," he glanced around the mall, "Follow me," he didn't wait for me to respond, and he dragged me to the dressing room and closed the door behind us.

As we step into the dressing room, I'm greeted by a spacious area with bright lighting that illuminates the space. The room is neatly organized, with individual booths separated by tall, full-length mirrors. The walls are adorned with large posters showcasing the latest fashion trends, inspiring me to experiment with different styles.

The air is cool and refreshing, thanks to the air conditioning, offering a welcome respite from the bustling mall outside. Soft background music plays, creating a relaxing atmosphere that helps me focus on trying on various outfits.

Each dressing booth is equipped with a comfortable bench, allowing me to sit down and take my time while deciding on my choices. The hooks and hangers provided on the walls and doors make it easy to hang up my current clothes and keep the space tidy.

Shit! This isn't going to end well.

"I am sorry Kayla, I only stayed away from you because you are Mark's little sister,"

"I am not Mark's little sister Logan, I am Kayla, when will you stop seeing me as that kid, for heaven's sake."

His eyes locked with mine and I knew that things were about to get intense.

"I do not see you as that kid," his voice was slightly above a whisper.

I glared right into his eyes with a rare kind of angst brewing in me. It wasn't the usual anger I felt and no matter how hard I tried; I couldn't get the perfect definition for it. After a few seconds of staring, my eyes began to flicker like they were being controlled by some switch. I couldn't keep up with his gaze.

"Why are you staring at me, little girl? I told you not to get this close to me?" He shot the questions at me with great arrogance. I eyed him vehemently as the memories of him being with another girl clouded my mind, but I didn't want to return to that, so I managed to toss it to the back of my mind.

"Has anyone told you that you are proud and arrogant?" I slammed at him; my hands clasped together. My lips were also pursed together but he seemed to ignore all my looks and expression and rather fixed a long stare at me while winking seductively. He had a Devilish grin on him as he stared. I gasped in shock. I was still angry with him for his action and all he knew was to flirt. The nerve he had.
