He chuckles once as he lowers his lips to my ear.

“Come for me, babydoll.” His raspy voice is the spark that has me detonating, and the slow, tight circles he draws around my clit are the accelerant.

My muscles contract so hard, I cry out against the release, and Alessandro’s knot throbs inside me. I squeeze my eyes closed, legs trembling as wave after wave of explosive pleasure slams into me. I fight to suppress a whine, determined not to reveal any omega tells even in the throes of ecstasy, and luckily, Alessandro crushes his lips against mine.

I’m still coming when Alessandro’s release catches up to him, and he growls out as he fills me to the brim with cum. We’re a sweaty, exhausted mess, and my eyelids are heavy by the time my muscles finally relax.

Any anxious energy I’d had before is completely gone, leaving my limbs feeling tired and heavy.

“That’s my good girl,” he says, still knotted inside me. Not as comfortable as last time for him, I’m sure, but I can’t get enough of his body against mine, pressing me into the mattress, his smoky bourbon smell clinging to me like a cloud.

When his knot deflates, he pulls out of me, leaving me feeling empty as he drags me into his arms and I rest my head on his chest with my eyes closed.

His quick, deep breaths gradually slow to normal, and I listen to his racing heartbeat until tendrils of unconsciousness threaten to pull me under.

I’m standing in the middle of a familiar living room, but rather than feeling nostalgic or at peace with recognition, fear sends a jolt of adrenaline shooting through my veins. Beige walls, leather couches, and darkly-stained wooden furniture make up my surroundings. It’s nothing that would inherently raise concern to an outsider, but knowing what took place in this house makes the room feel ominous.

The walls feel like they’re closing in, threatening to suffocate me.

I’m in my old pack’s house.

Their scents cling to everything in the room, including me: warm amber, tangy orange, and rich, dark chocolate. They’re scents I wish I could scrub from my memory, but they linger like specters at the edge of my mind. I breathe through my mouth in an attempt to mask them, but I wind up tasting them instead.

Damn it.

Everything I thought I’d left behind stares me in the face, and my skin crawls.

I have to get out of here.

Whirling around on my heel, I find myself facing the familiar front door with its dark wood and glistening glass panels on either side. Before I can even think, my feet rush forward, and I grab for the handle, wrenching it open as I plan to make a run for it.

There’s something blocking the doorway.

No. It’s someone.

I stop short to keep from running face first into the figure, fear prickling along my skin like icy needles.

He’s tall, dark, and terrifying, the sharpness of his features haunting, and he stands there looking like the grim reaper in all black.

Sean.

“Move,” I demand, my voice trembling on the way out.

He chuckles dryly once and steps forward, closing the distance between us and staring down at me with a hungry glare.

“Leave me alone,” I plead, trying to find my courage, which seems to have slipped around him and out the door like I wish I could do.

“I’ll never leave you alone, Jessy,” he says, stepping forward again and forcing me to take a step back. “You might have broken our bond, but you’ll never escape us. You belong to us.”

I turn around to run and immediately slam into a wall of hard abs. I look up, pulse picking up speed, and find myself staring into a pair of rich, caramel-colored eyes.

Caleb.

“Where do you think you’re going?” he asks, refusing to budge an inch. Sean steps up to my back, sandwiching me between the two, and I shove against Caleb’s chest in an act of defiance.
