I buried my face in his damp neck. He was still rock hard inside me and had to be close, but he’d stopped to make sure I was okay.

“Finish. I want to feel you fill me.”

He grunted and slid his hand from where he was rubbing my back to grip my shoulder. Using it as leverage, he tugged me down as he thrust up. The friction on my overstimulated prostate was amazing. My cock thickened and went half hard as our abs stroked and teased my spent shaft.

“You ready for it?” he rasped.

“Give it to me.”

He slammed into me one more time and yanked me down hard. His cock pulsed and kicked, then the most incredible warmth poured into me.

He’s coming inside me. Oh, fuck. My eyes and chest burned as a storm of emotions hit at once.

“Shhhhh.” He held me tight. “I know, babe. Just breathe and process.”

“Was that just sex talk?” I asked into his neck. I hadn’t caught my breath yet, and my voice waswrecked.

“No.” He peeled me away from his body so he could look into my eyes. “I’ve never said those words to anyone, not in a romantic sense. I meant it.”

“How did you know?”

“I didn’t.” He gently rubbed my back. “I needed to tell you how I feel and took a chance.”

“Say it again.”

“I love you.”

I closed my eyes so he wouldn’t see them fill with tears. Goddamn it. Why was I getting all weepy now?

“Look at me, Graham.”

I did.

“It’s okay if you’re not ready to say it.” He pressed a kiss against my lips. “And it’s okay if you’re not sure if you feel it—”

“I do feel it. I love you.”

His answering smile was so bright and filled with joy, and I swore to myself in that moment that I would never give him a reason to lose that smile. I wanted to see it every day for the rest of our lives.

I laughed, and it came out a little hysterical. He laughed with me, that joy and brightness still glistening in his eyes.

I pushed him onto his back. He lay under me, still grinning like he’d won the lottery. I leaned over him, feeling lighter and more settled than I had in years. Maybe ever.

“This morning I woke up single and lonely as fuck. Now I’ve not only gone on my first date, but I’m in love with my stepbrother. I didn’t have any of this on my bingo card for the day.”

He rubbed my sides with his big hands. “I mean, samesies.” He pinned me with a look. “And before you start freaking out on me, we’re dating and we’re boyfriends.”

Elation radiated through me. “We are?” I asked teasingly. “You just decided.”

“I did.” He dragged me down for a kiss. “I didn’t expect this,” he said after. “I never expected to fall for you, but now that I have, you’re stuck with me.”

“Yeah?”

“You are.” Tenderly, he brushed a lock of hair from where it had fallen over my eye. “One thing you should know about me is that I can be…intense. I don’t play games, and I don’t run when things get tough. When I love someone, I love all of them, and I fight for them. I know this will be harder for you than it is for me, and that’s okay. I’m not going to give up on us. If you push me away or freak out, that’s fine. Just don’t give me a reason to walk away.”

“I won’t.” I settled on him. “I have no idea what I’m doing. But I promise I’ll never hurt you or betray your trust. I can’t promise I won’t say or do stupid shit, or screw up because that’s kinda my thing, but I’ll never give you a reason to doubt my feelings for you.”

“That’s all I need, G.” He pressed a kiss to my forehead. “Let me get a cloth to clean you up, then we’ll go to bed.”
