“Yeah, probably should. Will you guys be okay?”

“Yup. Eli’s gonna keep me company while you be an adult.” Nick grabbed my brother’s arm and dragged him away.

“We’ve got an appointment at the salon.”

I turned to Zane, confused.

River held up his hand. “Lyla said we need manicures.”

I snickered. My sister could charm anyone into a manicure, and the twins were two of her favorite clients.

I caught Caleb’s eye and motioned him over.

“Is it time for our appointment?” River asked Lyla, who was still in Caleb’s arms.

She nodded vigorously.

Caleb put her down, and she immediately shoved her hands into River and Zane’s bigger ones.

“See ya.” River threw me a big grin as Lyla led them away.

“Come on, let’s go see what the food situation is like.” Stone motioned for West to go with him.

West fell into step beside him. “I was hoping I could pick your brain about a few things.”

“Yeah, man. Of course.”

“Don’t fuck on our bed.” I turned my attention to Kai and Alex, who were doing that thing where they stared at each other and telepathically flirted.

“What?” Alex yelped, putting his hands up in a gesture of innocence.

“I know you’re going to excuse yourselves and go upstairs. Use the spare room, not our bed.”

“You really think we’d do that at your birthday party?” Kai asked, his face the picture of purity.

“Yes,” Caleb said dryly.

“No promises.” Alex winked and sauntered off.

“Dude.” I whirled on Kai.

“Don’t worry. We’ll leave your bed alone.”

“And the main bathroom,” Caleb said as Kai turned to walk away.

“No promises.” He winked and strode off.

“I’m guessing they’re crashing with us?” I asked Caleb.

Sliding behind me, he hugged me against his chest. “I already put a fan and the white-noise machine in the spare room for them.”

“Remind me to pick up some of those fake latex sheets the next time they come to town.”

“I feel like they’ll take those as a personal challenge and not as a prank.” He kissed my neck.

“You’re probably right.” I rubbed his arms and leaned back against him. “Thanks for this. It means a lot to have everyone here. I can’t remember the last time I had a birthday party.”

He pecked my cheek. “You deserve the world, babe. I wanted to make sure you got to celebrate this milestone with the people you love. You’ll get your real present and surprise tomorrow.”
