I turned my head at the last second and closed my eyes. His lips brushed my cheek. He pulled back.
“No kissing.”
“Okay. Anything else?”
I blinked my eyes open. Huh? He was just going to accept my conditions without a fight?
“No face-to-face.”
“Is that all?” he asked.
“When it’s done, it’s done. We forget about it and we never see each other again.”
“Agreed.” He stepped back.
The loss of his body destabilized me. I grabbed onto the wall so I didn’t tip over. “You’re an asshole.”
“And you’re a brat.”
“Am not.”
He arched his eyebrow at me.
“Fine. Whatever. Let’s just get this over with.”
“Nope.
“But you just—”
“Take your pants off and go lay on the couch.”
“Seriously?”
He tugged the tie of his scrubs open. They fell to the floor, leaving him in a pair of silky black boxer briefs. He kicked off his shoes. “I might not like you, but I’m still a medical professional. I’m not going to aggravate your injuries while you’re healing.”
“This is the weirdest hookup ever.”
“Tell me about it. Now pants off and on the couch.”
I shoved my sweats down and stepped out of them. My knee wobbled but didn’t give out. Maybe the couch was a good idea.
I lay down. This was awkward and weird as hell, but I still wanted it. I wanted him.
Fuck.
“Shut your stupid brain off for a few minutes. I can see the gears grinding from here.” Caleb dug two packets out of his wallet and tossed them onto the floor in front of the couch. “On your stomach.”
“Why?”
“Because I need to prep you.” He knelt down.
“Just give me the lube and I’ll do it.”
“No.” He ran one hand over my asscheek, his touch firm but still gentle. “I know you have a thing against me touching you, but you’re going to have to get over it.”
“Why are you dragging this out?”
“Because if we’re doing this, we’re doing it my way.” He gripped my ass and squeezed hard. “I’m not going to hurt you or rush things. If that’s what you want then get a toy and do it yourself.” He dragged his finger through my crease.
