The music eventually faded, and another instrumental came on.

Graham strode to the platform, looking like sex on legs and radiating confidence as a line of women stretched through the club.

“My brother in Christ.” Sloane gaped at Graham as he leaned down to free a bill from a woman’s cleavage. “I knew he was hot, but how is hethathot? Those abs? They can’t be real. His thighs and that back? Jesus. How does someone just walk around being that gorgeous in real life?”

I chuckled, still reeling from what we’d just seen.

Sloane made a sound that was part gasp, part squeal and so unlike anything I’d ever heard come out of her mouth.

I followed her gaze. One of the twins was making his way through the crowd, his eyes on our table.

I sat there, stunned, as he knelt in front of my bestie.

“Hello again, darlin’,” he drawled. “Are you enjoying your night?”

She giggled and a bright pink blush crawled up her neck. Oh hell yeah. Sloane wasn’t a giggler, and as her best friend, it was my duty to make sure she never forgot this moment.

“Yes,” she managed. “It’s been great so far.”

“Glad to hear it.” He held his hand out, smiling.

She glanced at me, then slowly laid her hand on his.

He leaned down and brushed a kiss against her knuckles. Winking, he stood and headed back the way he’d come.

She made another weird sound, like a strangled cough.

“You good?” I asked.

“Best. Night. Ever.” She lifted her hair off the back of her neck. “Aimee is also going to have the best night ever when she gets home. That’s for damn sure.”

The lights flickered. Our attention went to the stage.

“And now, let’s welcome Angel to the stage.”

The ballad quieted, then ended, and a spotlight lit up a dancer standing in front of a pole. A song I didn’t recognize came on, the beat slow and erotic, as the dancer gripped the pole and leisurely swung around it.

He was cute but looked way too young. His tousled blond hair and impish smile only added to his barely legal vibe. The crowd didn’t seem to mind. They cheered as the kid expertly worked the pole, flipping and spinning around as well as any female pole dancer I’d seen.

“I’ll get us the next round,” Sloane said as the song ended and the kid went to the platform to get his tips.

I nodded, my mind stuck on Graham and his performance. I assumed he’d have decent moves if he made his living stripping, but I expected him to be more detached, almost indifferent, while he danced.

The sassy, playful poise he had on stage was a far cry from the guy I’d had in my bed.

“Oh shit.”

I snapped my head up at Sloane’s words and my heart palpitated as Graham strode toward us, that smirky smile on his perfect lips.

“Hey.” He dropped to his knee in front of me. “Fancy meeting you here.”

“I… we were… that… this is…”

He laughed, his eyes bright with mirth.

My chest clenched. I’d never seen him smile like that. He was even more beautiful, if that were possible.

“Cat got your tongue?” he teased.
