He shakes his head, chuckling at me.
“Queenie, they are going to be just fine, and you know why?”
I look at him curiously as he takes his thumb to the dimple in my chin.
“Because they have so much of you in them. They’ll be a little wild… competitive, but kind… and tougher than nails. They will always give an immense amount of love and loyalty, just like they’ve seen you do their whole lives.”
Eli kisses me and leans in to buckle my seatbelt. His sweet words dance around my head.
He nods his head toward the middle of his truck. “Now check the glove compartment… I thought you might need that today.”
Opening it up, I see the king-size pack of Reese’s, and I swear I couldn’t love this man more.
