I leaned over Alex’s body—we were both completely naked now—and kissed him. Here, I thought, miles from civilization and from any other soul, I could be as loud as I wanted. And I was, because the sheer magic of our sex propelled me to unknown heights of pleasure, as I fucked him, first rocking back on my legs, then resting my palms on his gorgeous, broad shoulders as I hunkered over him, taking him as quickly and roughly as I could, wanting him to know the nature of my desire for him, its restless hunger and its indefatigable need.

When I finally felt him come, his dick throbbed inside of me, and I yelled out, at the top of my lungs, feeling showered with the heat and light which had burned for months inside both of us. But the real shock came a moment later, when my own body gave away again, and I hollered out for a second time, as I felt muscles deep within my groin contract around his cock while he came inside of me, before I fell down onto his face, and wrapped my arms around his neck, kissing him in the afterglow, and the sounds of nature gradually came back into focus.

We lay in the grass, together, and I pulled him close to me and kissed his face. Alex growled, satisfied with his prey, and together we sat up.

He looked at his watch, and then up at me. “Holy crap,” he muttered.

“What?” I said.

“The yacht,” he said. “They’re leaving at 5:00 p.m.”

“We’ve got an hour or so, don’t we?” I said.

“We’ve got fifteen minutes,” he said.

But there was no chance of us making it. Not even a little bit. I couldn’t keep up with Alex, who might have made it by himself with his incredibly powerful stride. But after a while, I stumbled and yelped. He came back to me.

“Just go and stop them!” I said.

“I can’t leave you here,” he said.

He lifted me up into his arms and then began to jog, holding me. It was incredible. I wasn’t that heavy, but still. Alex must have had lungs with the strength of submarines. I felt him breathing hard, but he hardly even broke into a sweat as we crashed out of the jungle, face to face with the sea.

But the yacht wasn’t there.

I checked my phone, as Alex put me down and I rubbed my sore ankle.

“Call them,” I said, panting, “and tell them to come back!”

“I’m trying!” he said, considerably less out of breath than I was. “But there’s nothing. There’s no goddamn cell reception on this island.”

“Well, how are we going to get in touch?”

“The village,” he said. “There’s a radio. But we’d better find somewhere to stay.”

“Stay?” I said incredulously. “I’m leaving tomorrow! I’m going back to Honolulu.”

We were stranded.

Chapter Sixteen

Alex

IstaredatthePacific Ocean, stretching before me. Then I looked back at Lena.

“This is ridiculous,” she said.

“I’m aware,” I replied. For the last twenty minutes, I’d been trying to contact someone—anyone—who could come get us from the island. But as time went on, the sun reddened, lowering toward the horizon, and we realized that no one was coming. We were stuck here, for the night at least.

“Come on,” I said, eventually. “Let’s walk to the village.”

“And what are we going to do once we’re there?” Lena said.

“Find somewhere to stay.”

Lena was clearly pissed at me. I was starting to think that maybe she thought I’d done this on purpose.

“I’m not staying anywhere with you,” Lena said and started to march back up the hill.
