We go to the living room, where a few people are already sitting on the floor.

Spencer claps his hands, drawing the attention to himself. “Okay, people, the rules are simple. We spin the bottle.”

“Didn’t we just say we’re playing truth or dare?” the girl from earlier asks with an annoyingly nasal voice.

Truth or dare?

“What’s this, fucking junior high?” Prescott mutters behind me, startling me.

“We are, but here we play it a little bit differently. So, we’ll spin the bottle. The one who spins asks the question, and the one who it lands on will choose between truth or dare. If they answer the question or complete the dare, the group has to drink. If the person refuses to do either of those, they have to drink. And if the challenge requires some extra help…” Spencer wiggles his brows. “We’ll spin the bottle again to decide who the little helper will be. Any questions?”

“So basically, just a fancy way of getting us all drunk.”

Spencer’s eyes shine with mischief as they meet mine. “Exactly. I knew you spoke my love language, Cole. Get that sweet ass on the floor, and let’s play. Wentworth, you game, too?”

“I just want my whiskey back.”

“Well, then sit down and play, so you’ll get to drink it.”

Prescott curses softly but does as he’s told. He walks around the group sitting down all the way on the other side.

I quirk my brow at his grim face as I help Penny down and then do the same.

Once everybody’s settled down, Spencer spins the bottle. “Let the games begin.”

The first few people the bottle lands on choose truth, so it’s pretty tame. Then the bottle lands on one of the hockey players who chooses dare and has to down the whole solo cup of beer as he has his nose pinched. The beer ends up everywhere, and we laugh our asses off at his red face.

“That was pitiful, Montana,” Spencer says.

“We’ll see you soon, Monroe,” the guy says as he spins the bottle, which lands on me. He quirks his brow. “Truth or dare?”

“Dare.”

“Take off your panties.”

There are a few hoots in approval from the guys sitting around.

Slowly, I get to my feet. I’ve had a few more shots since we started the game, and my head is positively spinning. I slide my hand under my skirt and pull down the lacy material and let it fall on the ground. I step out of it and lift it in the air, letting it dangle from my finger.

“Wanna keep it as a souvenir, too?” I ask sweetly.

From the corner of my eye, I can feel Prescott’s probing gaze on me, but I ignore him, my whole focus on the Montana guy.

“That wouldn’t be…”

“What the fuck, Jade?”

I look up to find no one other than my brother standing in the doorway; his eyes shooting daggers at me. When he got here, I have no idea.

“It’s just a game, Nixon. Chill.” Wrapping my fingers around the lace, I slide it into my back pocket and sit down. “Drink up, assholes.”

Everybody has a drink as I grab the bottle and spin it. The bottle lands on Spencer’s annoying Sugar babe friend. “Truth or dare?”

The girl giggles like she’s five. “Dare.”

“Until your next turn, you have to sit in the lap of…” I spin the bottle once again, and it lands on another girl. Some cheer, some groan. “Her.”

The girl goes to do as I said, and I down another shot.
