“There’s no need to say anything.”
“Why do you care about me?”
“The answer is easy. Because you’re special.”
“I’m just a girl with no lease on life as of yet.”
He lowered his head, nuzzling his face against my neck. His aftershave sent another wave of desire scouring my system, my mind still processing the events of the last few days. “You’re a woman who awakened the man inside.”
The statement brought another wave of desire, my fully aroused nipples uncomfortable in the lace bra I’d selected for the trip. My panties were already damp, my muscles clenching and releasing several times.
I wanted to ask him why he’d felt so dead, but opening old wounds wasn’t what this trip was about. While business was required, I sensed he was letting go of a part of his past that had haunted him. It would seem we were two damaged people striving to find a different way of healing.
When he turned me around to face him, the way he brushed the back of his hand across my cheek was entirely different. The touch was tender, yet his eyes told an entirely different story. One of darkness in his hunger, a longing to devour every inch of me.
He fisted my hair suddenly, keeping my head tipped toward the sky as he hovered over me. I pressed my hands against his chest, marveling in the ability to feel his carved muscles through the crisp white shirt he’d worn.
With his lips only a few centimeters from mine, I yearned to drag my tongue around his mouth. His heated breath ignited the embers deep inside and as he yanked on my hair, I issued a whispered moan.
“The things I’m going to do to you, Alexandra.” He crushed his mouth over mine, immediately thrusting his tongue inside. The taste of him was sweet yet spicy, his hold so possessive that it took my breath away. I was thrown by the insanity of so many emotions rushing through my mind. He’d also provoked an intense darkness that terrified me.
I wanted to submit, allowing him to take full control. I didn’t care what that meant or what people thought. He’d managed to calm my fears while enticing the woman who’d been locked inside a cage. As he explored my mouth, taking his time dominating my tongue, I melted into him. Our connection wasn’t just about physical needs but emotional ones as well.
And somehow, I sensed he needed me too.
I clung to his shirt with one hand as I wrapped my other arm around his neck, sliding my fingers in his thick hair. This felt right, being in his arms special. And for the first time in as long as I could remember, I felt free of the chains that had weighted me down for so long.
How could one man do this in only a few days?
I also felt the weight of being reckless.
The kiss became a wild roar of need shared between us. Being here with him was a dream come true, but I knew in the back of my mind reality would come crashing down.
When he broke the kiss, he pressed his lips against my forehead as he’d done before. The action was tender, as if the protector was reminding me that he was here.
Suddenly, I couldn’t stand the guilt that I’d carried for disappointing him.
As well as myself.
“You asked me to let you know when I was ready for discipline.”
“I did.”
“Okay.”
He grinned and slid a stray strand of hair from my eyes. “Okay. What?”
“You can.”
When he moved his hands to my arms, I felt more like the bad little girl than ever before. “I want you to embrace the reason you need regular discipline in your life. It’s not about pleasing me as much as it is about accepting the fact of what is best for you. As I said before, when the time is right, you’ll know what to say to me.”
As he eased past me, I was dumbfounded. He was putting all the weight on my shoulders for asking for a spanking? Didn’t dominating men take control? I watched him walk toward the door and groaned inwardly.
“Wait.” My voice seemed so small that I almost didn’t recognize it. “You’re right. May I please have a spanking?”
“Why do you feel you need one?”
I wasn’t entirely certain what he was looking for. “Because I’ve been out of control.”
