His hand still on her mouth, Aiden dragged her out of the suite without showing the smallest sign of mercy. She was acutely aware of every single muscle in her body, even the ones she didn’t know existed. They were tender to touch and burned every time she took a step.

“Stop whimpering,” Aiden ordered when they entered the gym.

“I can’t. I’m in pain,” she replied meekly.

Aiden turned to her with a triumphant expression on his face. “Pain is good. Pain makes us strong. It shows us that what we’re doing is changing our bodies for the better. It’s a testament to a great workout. Try to program your brain to consider it pleasurable.”

“That’s ridiculous,” Sienna argued. “It’s far from any pleasure I’ve ever felt.”

Aiden let out a dark chuckle as his lips twitched in amusement. “There are different kinds of pleasure. I’ll be happy to introduce you to them when you’re ready.”

His words sent shivers down her spine, and she involuntarily shook her arms, which only made the hurt come back and she grimaced in pain. Aiden sighed in defeat.

“I’ll tell you what, the workout is going to make you feel better. I need you to push through the achy feeling and use your muscles. After that, we’ll take a quick ice bath then you’ll get a massage to relax the tightness,” he said and tilted his head, waiting for her reply.

“I didn’t know you knew how to do a massage,” Sienna commented.

“I don’t,” Aiden shrugged, then added. “My specialty is martial arts, Xavier went into computers, and Jensen focused on anything that screamed tactic and strategy. Jaxon’s the one who wasn’t interested in studying unless it involved him being close to a woman. Of course, our father didn’t let him drop out of school, but he did turn a blind eye when Jaxon found a loophole and became a certified massage therapist.”

“Seriously?”

“Yeah,” Aiden nodded, then shook his head as he laughed. “It kind of backfired on him, because most of his customers here are our guys.”

Sienna laughed at the thought of Jaxon being stuck in a room full of naked guys, having to massage them, when he specifically picked his major to be surrounded by women. It was the best kind of comic joke, and it made all the sense in the world for his father to trick him that way, making him think Jaxon won when in reality, he played right into his scheme.

“Needless to say, I think he’ll be delighted to have you on his table,” Aiden told her, and she didn’t miss the subtle hint in his tone.

“What about you? Where do you want to have me?” she teased.

“Right now, on the treadmill and then we’ll see. Who knows, maybe we’ll even graduate to the mat today,” he replied without missing a beat.

Rock music blasted through the speakers, successfully muffling Sienna’s groan. Aiden got on his treadmill, and she had no choice but to follow. Despite her protests, he had them running ten minutes longer than the day before. After that, they did the same exercise as yesterday. The only difference was the order they did them in and the number of sets. Granted, it’d been only a day since they started working out, but Sienna was already running out of patience. She wanted more. She needed to punch something or someone. The feeling of uselessness stuck with her, and she didn’t know how to fight it.

“It takes time to build muscles,” Aiden told her when she complained about repeating the exercises. “There’s no point on moving on to the harder ones if you can’t even handle the basics.”

“I can handle it,” she argued. “I think I did rather well.”

Aiden turned to her and gave her an assessing stare. Despite the narrowed eyes, there was softness in them that he never managed to hide when he looked at her.

“You’re barely standing. You have no stamina, zero balance, and whatever minimal cushion you have underneath your skin, I can guarantee you that it’s not muscle but fat,” he told her as a matter of fact.

Sienna’s eyes bulged. “I’m not fat!”

Aiden rolled his eyes and sighed. “I didn’t say you’re fat.”

“Yes, you did!” she insisted, then dug her index finger into his chest. “You’re a fucking asshole.”

Ignoring the ache in her muscles, Sienna did her best to storm out of the gym. Aiden called after her to wait up, but she didn’t, which only annoyed him further because she shouldn’t have been walking around without being accompanied by at least one heir. The rock music had been turned off, followed by the banging of the door and urgent shuffling of feet as Aiden hurried after her.

Sienna didn’t care that she walked like a penguin. Her mind was solely focused on getting her to the suite and convince Jaxon to give her a massage. She didn’t check the time and could only hope that he was already awake, otherwise, he wouldn’t be into helping no matter the possible benefits on his part.

“Sienna, wait,” Aiden called moments before catching up.

He grabbed her arm and forced her to turn around toward him. Thanks to her penguin walk, she lost her balance and landed against his chest. She made anuffsound as the air was knocked out of her.

“Fuck, I’m sorry! Are you okay?”

“Maybe you should think about packing some fat,” she commented, then blatantly ran her hands over his chest and abdomen. “You could crush rocks against it.”
