“You have to help me,” Sienna said as quietly as she could. “The heirs are trouble and I’m in deep shit.”

Adrianna giggled and Sienna shushed her, but it was too late because the sound already got everyone’s attention. Her friend didn’t care. She was enjoying it too much. Maybe it was the pressure of the last few days or the not knowing of what was to come but Sienna must’ve finally cracked, because she started laughing alongside her friend. Getting it all out either through tears or laughter felt good, and soon after they were done, the smile on Sienna’s face was genuine.

“It’s not a bad trouble to be in,” Adrianna told her when she got her bearings.

Sienna nodded. “I suppose you’re right. Besides, I know I can count on you to join in for another fun group study session when I recover.”

Adrianna bit her lip and her brows furrowed. Her reaction was far from what Sienna had expected.

“Don’t you want to?” Sienna asked her.

Adrianna’s eyes widened and she nodded, quickly and fiercely. “Of course I want to.”

“Then what’s the problem?”

“It’s just that…” Adrianna started but trailed off.

She acted so unlike herself, and Sienna wanted to push her, but she could also see that her friend was trying to come up with an explanation.

“Just spit it out already,” Sienna snapped when Adrianna didn’t say anything after what felt like forever.

Adrianna sighed but spoke up. The whole time, she was speaking, she was avoiding Sienna’s eyes.

“I’ve sort of gone celibate. I’m trying something new, and I’ve been seeing someone who isn’t in the Carrington clan, which means that he doesn’t understand our code of honor. I didn’t expect it and it just happened, but I like him a lot and can’t stop thinking about him. He’s unlike anyone else I’ve ever met, and he treats me like I’m someone special. I’m trying not to fuck it up, which is why I’ve been on my best behavior,” her friend admitted, speaking so fast that Sienna had trouble processing what she was saying.

“Ade! I’m so happy for you,” Sienna cried and pulled her into a hug. “You deserve that and much more. Will you tell me who he is? Do I know him?”

Adrianna’s cheeks turned red, and Sienna realized it was probably the first time she saw her blush.

“It’s Angel, your brother,” Adrianna said, forcing herself to look in Sienna’s eyes to see her reaction, whose lips turned up into a smile before planting a kiss on Adrianna’s cheek.

“I’m so happy for you. I hope it works out because I’d love for you to be my sister-in-law,” Sienna assured her.

Adrianna relaxed and smiled the smile that reached her eyes. “I love you.”

“I love you too.”

Sienna loved the idea of Adrianna and Angel together, even though he was a bit younger, but she would be more than capable of teaching him the things he didn’t know. Her family was growing which filled her heart with more happiness than she thought was possible.

Sienna glanced around the room at the Carrington heirs. She couldn’t believe she ever hated them or that there was a time when they weren’t a part of her life. No matter what would happen in the future, she had a lot to live for in the present.

When she was finished with her meal, she stood up, which got everyone’s attention.

“I think it’s time that you bring the mattresses here so we can set up our little fort,” she said, unable to keep herself from bossing them around.

Jaxon was the first one to jump on his feet and went to his room, quickly followed by the others. Soon enough, they emptied the big space on the floor, brought mattresses, and built an impromptu bed. It wasn’t too bad, and Sienna couldn’t ignore the growing excitement of an upcoming adventure that the heirs always managed to drag her into.

“God help me, I better get some sleep, or they’ll be the end of me,” she muttered under her breath, secretly hoping that her body would get better soon because she had heirs to do.
