“Agree, Brother,” Loco said. “So what are we going to do to find him?”

Other brothers began to gradually show up, heading straight to the kitchen. “Find who?” Frenchie muttered, apparently not caring for an answer because he kept right on going until he disappeared from view.

The three of us snorted. “Have a feeling today is going to be a wash. Hope Demon doesn’t call church.” I had plans.

“I’m with you, too fuckin’ tired to think.” Frenchie joined us at the table with a plate of food that could have fed three.

“Fuck, Brother,” Loco laughed when he saw the pile of eggs, bacon, and toast.

“I’m hungry,” Frenchie explained defensively. “The shit we ate on the road didn’t cut it.”

I was with him on that. “Soon as I’m done eating, I’m heading out.” I’d told Harlow that I was sending someone to join up with Klutz, but what I hadn’t told her was that that someone was me. I was going to spend time with my woman even if it was only to follow her around from patient to patient.

Cole walked into the room and headed straight for us. It looked like he was back to normal. He grabbed an empty chair from the table next to ours, pulled it over to our table, and sat down. I could tell by his expression that something was up.

“You look like you got some news for us, Brother.”

He nodded and made eye contact with everyone at the table. “I do. Heard from our friend at the hospital when you boys were away having fun.”

I grinned at the disappointment reflected in his tone. None of us liked to miss a good fight.

“Seems the man Bronx whisked away that night is his blood brother.”

“Shit.” I pushed my empty plate away and leaned back in my chair. “Makes sense now why he showed up at the hospital the night Lulu gave birth.” I shook my head with anger that we’d missed an opportunity to capture Bronx that night, but he’d disappeared shortly after we arrived at the hospital. We’d figured that he’d disguised himself as a doctor and escaped out a side entrance or something. He never did come back for his bike.

I frowned, thinking of something. “His brother still in the hospital?” If he was, we still might have a chance to get our hands on Bronx.

Cole shook his head. “He disappeared last night.”

“Convenient,” I snarled.

“Checked himself out?” Frenchie asked.

“Nope. From what I was told, he’s in bad shape. Someone snuck him out during non-visiting hours.”

“Well, we all know who that someone was,” Loco grunted.

Yeah. A mad man who had an even bigger grudge against our club. And right now, he could be anywhere.

I suddenly felt an urgent need to hear Harlow’s voice. To know that she was alright. I was going to insist that she find someone to take over her patients until we located Bronx. She needed to stay here at the clubhouse where I knew she’d be safe. She wouldn’t be happy about it, but that was too fucking bad. I wouldn’t be able to deal with it if anything happened to her. Bronx wouldn’t hesitate to use her, or any one of the other old ladies, to get to the club.

I caught Cole’s eye. “Is Demon calling church?”

“Tomorrow morning,” he responded. “First thing. He knows we all need today to recoup.”

I pushed my chair back and got to my feet. “Then I’m out of here. Going to meet up with Klutz and spend the rest of the day following my woman around.”

Sax got to his feet too. “When you taking her to Sunrise?”

We exchanged smirks. “Soon, Brother.”

He gave me a chin lift and we parted ways. I went toward the entrance door, and he pivoted in the direction of the bedrooms. I was tired enough to go back to my room and grab a couple more hours of sleep, but the thought of seeing Harlow kept me walking toward my bike. I could catch up on sleep later, when she was next to me, all soft and naked.

Yeah, that sounded like a solid plan.
