3MONTHS LATER
It’s Friday night, and Shep and Onyx invited me out. My partying days are long behind me. It seems that I don’t do well with alcohol or lots of women. Either of them in plentiful supply makes me lose my mind.
Correction. There’s only one woman who makes me lose my mind. It’s been six months since we’ve last seen each other, and the memory of her kiss and her touch is just as fresh in my mind as if it were yesterday when we were last together.
Dad officially stepped down as CEO ofThe Maxwell Group,and I stepped up. I’ve spent all my time getting acclimated to my new role, having little time to sleep and eat.
I’ve been thinking about Yesenia a lot, but I haven’t had time to pursue her how I wanted. I know she deserves my complete attention when I go after her and nothing less, but I wanted to stay at the front of her mind. Therefore, I’ve sent her a single red rose daily for the last month.
Yesterday I had one-hundred long-stemmed red roses delivered to her workplace. A handwritten note accompanied the roses. I’m not romantic, so I kept the note short and sweet.
