When Yesenia returns, she’s wearing a look of surprise.
“What’re you doing?” she asks.
I’ve removed my jacket and lain it over the arm of the couch.
“Waiting for you.”
“No, I mean,” she points at my jacket and me sitting down. “I thought we were going out tonight.”
“We fucking were until I saw you.”
Looking down at herself, she asks, “Is anything wrong.”

I cannot control my feelings around this girl. Since meeting her, she’s got me doing things I normally wouldn’t. I’m behaving in ways that I can’t explain, first, like dating a woman as young as she is when normally the women are my age or older.
I grab her and pull her towards me, pressing against her. “I need you to feel what I’m feeling and understand what I need,” I whisper.
The little gasp that escapes her lips lets me know that I’ve accomplished my mission.
“Kincaid,” she moans.
I dip down and claim her lips, and she grabs the back of my head, pulling me in closer. The softness of her skin as I rub her back and her spicy, warm floral scent make me want to dig deeper into her to inhale all her scents, added and natural.

“We’d better go, or we’ll be late.”
“Late where?” I ask, dipping my head and sucking on her neck.
She moans her approval, a giggle releasing from her throat before she says, “I don’t know, but I’m sure you’ve planned something exquisite. After all, you went through a lot to prepare me for our date tonight.”
“That’s because I cherish you, my dear.”
“Please, Cade,” she says as her hands push against my chest, and I finally let go, grunting my disapproval.
Yesenia’s eyebrows wiggle up and down before she heads to the door and says, “Come on!”
I reluctantly follow her, trying to think of a thousand ways to convince her that we should bring the new year in by fucking at her place.
“You’re excited but have no idea where we’re going. I could be taking you to a rainforest or to Zimbabwe.”
