Leaning close, I nip at her ear and reply, “Don’t be scared, baby. My bite isn’t that bad.”

She shivers and pulls away.

“I’m sure.”

“Do you think the darkness is bad?”

“That darkness makes me think that you’re the type of man who gives commands, and there’s no room for negotiation or bartering.”

“Not seeing the problem.”

“The type of man who wants to own a woman.”

“I never disappoint.”

I see her shiver with delight, although she’s wearing a scowl.

“You’re dangerous for me, Mr. Maxwell.”

“A little danger is always necessary, Yesenia. It makes you appreciate being alive,” I say with a wink.

She shudders, and my hand rests on her knee, squeezing and making its way up her thigh. Like the last time she was in my car, she involuntarily parts her legs, and I can’t help the smirk on my lips and the growl growing in my throat.

Leaning in towards her, I say, “You’re about to havemeon my knees between your legs, Miss Carver, right here in front of Nigel. What a naughty girl.”

Her eyes widen, and despite her makeup, I can see a blush tint on her bronze-colored cheeks just before she bites her bottom lip.

It’s cute.

She’s cute, usually.

But tonight, she’s hot. So incredibly, fuckable hot!

“Told you what that bottom lip makes me want, Nia,” I whisper in her ears. “Unless you want a mouthful of cock where Nigel can see, I’d suggest you move that lip from your teeth.”

Biting back a smile, she slowly removes her lip and turns her gaze out the window. Her eyebrow dips down as she leans closer to look out the tinted windows before looking out the rear window.

Turning to look at me, Yesenia asks, “Where are we?”

I look out the window and then back to her with a serious expression. “Looks like we’re at the airport.”

“Why?”

I turn to watch as Nigel pulls into the private hangar. No sooner than he pulls the car to a stop, I see my pilot running towards the Maybach, and Nigel exits the vehicle.

“Cade? Why are we at the airport?” she asks again as Nigel opens my door.

“Sir, we’re ready for your departure,” Alexander Cochran, my pilot, says in greeting.

“Good. We’ll be there momentarily,” I say as he nods and heads back to the large jet plane.

“Departure?”

I lean close to Yesenia so she won’t miss my words and no one else can hear them.

“This, my love, is your date for New Year’s Eve,” I say, brushing my lips against hers.

Before she can protest, I’m out of the car and reaching for her hand.
