“Fine, am I to be shipped off before the wedding? Won’t that seem a bit…strange this close to it?” Demetrius questioned.
“You’re to stay where you are, position here and apartment, until the night of the wedding. Markus will take you from the wedding to the airport for a flight to London. I would highly suggest you get Kyra to join you because I will not hesitate to run her down should she upset my Hailey. She is the most important part of my life and if either of you upset her…you will answer to me. Now, I have a lunch to attend, and you have work to do. You’ve already had your lunch break and more; I know just what you were up to this morning Demetrius. I am no fool,” he added grabbing his jacket waiting until Demetrius moved off the elevator towards his office to relax.
“You’re the biggest fool there is brother of mine,” Demetrius muttered under his breath. “I’ll go to London, but I won’t stay. First chance I get you and that little bitch are going down.”

“Sorry about the delay,” Stefano stated greeting the group situated around the round table. He saved Hailey for last, leaning down to kiss her fully, breathe in her unmistakable scent, before taking the seat next to her.
“Saoul was telling us you and Demetrius were having a discussion,” Elena said lifting a brow at him before sending Olympia a smile. “I will always think of you as a daughter, even if you are no longer going to become mine officially.”
“Thank you, Elena, you have been most kind to me,” Olympia said with relief as Stefano gave her a nod. “Father, I know this will be a surprise to some but very few even knew we were engaged.”
“As long as you are happy and cared for, I will be happy to support you,” Saoul stated kissing her hand putting a full smile onto Olympia’s face. “There’s your mother, I’ve missed her.”
“Me too,” Olympia said softly as Xavier brushed a strand of hair from her eyes.
“I will do everything within my power to give Olympia the life she deserves,” Xavier assured him. “I’m not afraid of work and I will not waste the opportunity Stefano has presented me.”
“Which is what?” Saoul questioned looking to Stefano for answers.
He gladly gave the man his thoughts of where Xavier could head within the company and saw the acceptance fully come over the man. “Xavier will be quite busy in the coming years, but I dare say he can handle that and Olympia with ease.”
“Especially with Hailey around to remind Stefano to get home and put business away,” Elena added making her smile softly.
“And since my darling Hailey and Olympia have become such good friends, I know she’ll ensure she’s not feeling neglected because I’ve overworked Xavier,” Stefano said sliding his arm around her shoulders, letting his fingers trace the edge of her cap sleeve.
“True,” Hailey agreed and Saoul gave Xavier and Olympia his blessing letting them enjoy their meals before the three men returned to the office.
Stefano pulled her aside as they hit the sidewalk and wrapped her up into his arms, giving her a slow, languid kiss that made her toes curl. “I am sorry if I was forceful earlier. I didn’t know if Saoul or Demetrius would arrive first.”
“It’s fine Stefano, how did that go?”
“He’ll be headed to London the moment the wedding’s over and I hope taking Kyra with him.”
“Do you honestly think that will stop him?”
“No, I don’t…actually I know it won’t but that is the plan. Mother will never talk him down without actual proof of what he’s attempting to do. I will not allow him to hurt you to get to me. You will be safe, always when you are with me.”
“Good, that’s one thing I know you wouldn’t lie to me about,” she said giving him a soft kiss before letting him lead her to the car.
“Enjoy your dress fitting,pethi mou; I will see you for dinner. I’ve arranged for Olympia and Xavier to dine with his family and Saoul tomorrow night. Would you like to join them? His mother invited us as thanks for introducing his son to such a lovely girl.”
“I would love to,” she answered easily knowing that in front of people they had to appear loving, which meant he had to touch her and kiss her, which meant her feelings were able to come out without fear.
“Good, what if we took everyone to Sunset Estate?”
“Perfect spot but who will make dinner?”
“I’ve arranged for Berta to come over for the evening. Our mothers and Grandfather are going to be there most of tomorrow to ensure the crew is finished and I dare say we could add in your father and Nikolas to the mix easily enough.”
“The more the merrier,” she stated lifting a brow at him in question.
“I think we’ll leave Kyra and Demetrius off the guest list. Nikolas will understand.”
“Just let me know when we’ll be leaving then.”
“I will, tonight at dinner,” he stated kissing her cheek as he began to hand her into the car. At the last moment, he tugged her back around to him, claiming her lips in a full kiss giving her a smile when it finished. “Now I should be able to make it to dinner without seeing you. Mother take care of my darling Hailey.”
