“She’s not worth it,” Elliot said wiping at the blood on his lip.

“She is worth the world to me. You would do well to know whom you are up against before attempting anything. Get him out of here,” he added to the guard before moving back to Hailey who was pale. “It is alright my darling. You are safe as always, agape mou.”

“I know,” she sighed relaxing into his hold letting him lead her out to the car with Olympia and Xavier on their heels.

“You saw him while we were out shopping, didn’t you?” Olympia asked once they were on the way home. “That is why you paled that day as you did today.”

“You saw him and didn’t tell me?” Stefano asked turning his gaze onto her.

“Through the window of the store only, he didn’t come in, so I hoped he hadn’t seen me,” she said trying to calm him. “I would never want him near me.”

“I know that, agape mou. If you are to ever see him again, whether he comes near you or not, you will tell me. I will not sit around and let someone harm you when I can stop it,” Stefano stated, and she gave him a half-smile lifting a brow at him. “I do not care how Greek I am being right now my darling. I love you too much to chance your safety. You will tell me.”

“I would be angry with you if I didn’t love you,” she stated letting out a sigh as she allowed his arms to pull her closer, hold her tighter. “I don’t think he would be stupid enough to take you on again Stefano. You are one ape he cannot take down.”

“I will show you an ape if you do not tell me if he comes back around,” he countered lifting her across his lap, settling his lips on her with a long demanding kiss that made her wish they were alone.

“Do remember we are here Stefano,” Olympia teased them making her laugh.

“I know quite well where we are and who is present and the four of them shall not see anything they should not at any time,” Stefano replied making her laugh more at Xavier’s confused look.

“Oh, the baby,” Xavier said with a nod. “I don’t think he or she will be seeing that, feeling perhaps but not seeing.”

“Karl cannot see anything with the partition up,” Hailey said as Stefano cupped her lightly expanded stomach. She had a feeling by the time November got there every guest at Olympia’s wedding would know she was well with child.

“And I did not mean as they are now,” Stefano added with a loving caress on her body. “I meant once they are born and riding with us.”

“They? You are expecting twins?” Xavier asked as understanding hit him fully.

“Yes, my wife is doubly blessing me,” he answered accepting the warm congratulations from Xavier and Olympia before questioning her about work that afternoon.

Hailey went upstairs, changing while Stefano entertained the group already at the house, and she saw his eyes darken with desire as she moved into the room wearing a newer dress that cupped her stomach lovingly.

“You look stunning,yineka mou.”

“Glowing and growing,” Theo agreed.

“Not surprising that you are starting to show already with as tiny as you are,” Elena assured her. “When I was pregnant with Kyra, I was twice your size at this time.”

“Don’t tell Stefano that, he will think something wrong,” she teased her mother-in-law. “I have already had to argue aplenty with him to listen to the doctor to know that things are well.”

“And why would you be thinking the doctor is wrong?” Leann asked him as his hand settled on her stomach.

“Because she does not know my Hailey,” he answered easily. “I was fine until she told us the newest news.”

“What news is that and why would it worry you?” Elena asked as her parents shared worried looks.

“Grandfather, I hope you won’t be too disappointed if you should return to discover that both of your great-grandchildren are girls,” Stefano stated, and Theo slapped his knee with a laugh.

“You are blessing me with two great-grandchildren at once?” Theo stated and she nodded. “Two little boys to take over the Zeno business from their father, I can see it now my son. Your father would be proud to discover the man you have turned into.”

“It could still be girls Grandfather,” Stefano said slowing him down slightly.

“Nonsense…the first born of the Zeno line is always a boy when the marriage comes from love. Your grandmother blessed me with a boy then your mother and though we lost him too soon I knew that there would be a grandson in our world when she met your father. Now, these babies will be boys and expand the Zeno line well into the future,” Theo said moving over to rest a hand on her stomach before giving her a hug. “You are to call me if he upsets you and I will set him straight.”

“I will,” she said letting them enjoy the evening knowing that once they went home, she would have Stefano to herself all weekend.

He swept her up in his hold as his mother and Theo left, and she sighed happily holding onto his shoulders as he carried her upstairs. He set her down on her feet, her body sliding against his with a smile lighting her eyes. His hands caressed her through the dress, and she felt her entire body awake with desperate need.
