He stilled, eyes totally focused on mine. The seconds slipped past, and I wondered if he was going to reject me.
Pushing back his chair, he walked over to me and placed one hand on either side of my body.
“Are you sure about this? I mean, don’t get me wrong, I want you more than anything. My soul knows you’re meant to be with me. I don’t want you to make the decision solely based on what happened today.”
I placed my finger to his lips to silence him. “I want this. Now. With you. Make me yours completely.”

Icould hardly believe my ears. Donna had agreed to become fully mated with me. My dick was well onboard with this idea too. But I needed to hold onto my self-control a little while longer. Her mind was open to me; she wanted this. Even if she was still anxious, she understood that we were inextricably tied to one another. My mind and body were racing.
“I need to speak to Jeanie and Mac.”
She blushed from her neck to the top of her head. “Why do you need to speak to them?”
I led her into the living room. We sat facing each other on one of the sofas.
“They need to know we’re going to complete the mating bond.”
She held her hands to her face. “You’re going to tell them we’re getting down and dirty? Why would you do that, Antoine?”
I had to tread carefully. “The making love and blood exchange are highly erotic acts. The… the noise we make will be loud.”
Shit, nowIwas full-on blushing.
“Oh, you’re going to tell them not to enter the house.”
“Yes. This will save embarrassment on all sides.”
She nodded. “Of course. I get it. Is there a but coming?”
“The twenty-four hours afterwards we need to face alone.”
“The part where I puke for hours and then sweat like crazy?”
I took one of her hands and kissed it. “You’ve got it. It’s my sole responsibility to take care of you and see to your needs.”
Her demeanour changed, and her anxiety beat at me.
“What’s on your mind, Donna?”
“This is monumental. Although I want this to happen, I’m still a little nervous.”
“If you want to wait…”
She held her hand up to silence me. “No. It doesn’t matter if I leave it two days, two weeks, or two years. One way or another, we must do this. Now is as good a time as any.”
I caught her behind her neck, pulled her mouth to mine, and kissed her, pouring all my emotions into that one act. Donna sighed into my mouth and deepened the kiss. She broke from our kiss first and put a hand on one of my cheeks. “Go and tell Mac and Jeanie. I’ll be waiting in your bedroom.”
After dropping a kiss to her lips, I went to find Mac and Jeanie.
