“There is no going back after we turn you.” Amon’s voice was soft. It didn’t seem as if he was trying to change her mind, rather he wanted her to understand the consequences of her choice. “We will turn you, but only if you are sure. We’ll guide you through it, help you through the thirst and comfort you through the pain, but your life will never be the same. You might not even be the same. Eternal life changes people, and not always for the better.”

She nodded. It had crossed her mind on the plane that she might turn into a power thirsty monster, maybe even worse than Rayen had been.

Rayen stepped closer, kissing the shoulder Silas wasn’t caressing. “Understand that even if we turn you and you decide later on you no longer want to walk the same path as us, we won’t bind you to us. We don’t want you to leave us, but I want you to know we’ll never force you to be with us.”

“Thank you,” she whispered, loving his sweet words. “I just…” she tried to find the right thing to say. “Well… Do I have to feed on a person?”

To her surprise Silas reassured her, his voice deep and husky. “I’ll make sure you never kill a person, at least not out of thirst. Your soul is far too precious that I would let something like that taint it. However, if there ever is someone that does you wrong like those men in the alley, I will stand by your side and watch you rip their hearts out.”

“How sweet of you,” Rayen mocked.

“The thirst will devour you. Nothing but blood will be important to you, especially if you are around humans. Until you have that thirst under control, we will keep you far away from everything and everyone,” Amon reassured her.

“Will I hurt you?”

Silas chuckled. “You might but there is nothing we wouldn’t do for you.”

Rayen grinned amused. “I think I would look even sexier with scars.”

Amon turned her hand and kissed her wrist. “Don’t worry about us, sweet Gwendoline.”

She smiled, feeling as if she was the luckiest person alive. “I love you.”

“We love you too,” they hummed in unison.

“I want to do it in the next few days.”

“Your wish is our command,” Silas groaned as his fangs scraped over her collarbone.

Rayen pulled on her hand and walked her back to the kitchen. “Then you should rest and eat. You’ll need all the strength you can get.”

“Will all three of you bite me?”

Amon stepped to her side, so she held onto his arm. “We will. Hopefully the more venom the faster you turn.”

“I’m a little scared,” she admitted.

Amon’s eyes slightly darkened with sadness. “We’ll be by your side. We’ll give you as much comfort as we can, but we won’t be able to take your pain away.”

“I might curse you out.”

“What a potty mouth,” Rayen laughed as he picked her up and set her on the kitchen counter.

Amon kissed her forehead. “We understand and will not be upset with you.”

She watched as Rayen pulled out meat and started sizzling it in the pan while cutting up some potatoes and sticking them in the oven. Silas had handed everyone a glass, this time hers was filled with white wine.

“Would you like to stay here on the island or go home?”

“I think here is best. I like the view.”

“Of course you like the view, we’re here,” Rayen laughed, amused.

Silas ran his fingers up her thigh and pushed up her dress. “Mhm… what a shame, I was hoping to taste your blood a little while longer,” he said in a playfully disappointed whisper as his fingers trailed higher.

“What will happen if I try to drink from you?” she asked as she sipped on her wine.

Silas fingers pushed past her slip and parted her folds. “You won’t dislike our taste, but it won’t satisfy you,” he groaned as his fingers started circling her clit.
