“I think I should try to feed Gemma.” Ali pulls her gown up, moving to expose the other breast. “She’s the only one who hasn’t eaten.”

“I’m not sure she can sustain herself on breastmilk,” Malice says, cooing down at her. “But it wouldn’t hurt to try.” He brings her over, handing her off to our mate. Once Ali gets situated, he bends down, giving her a quick kiss. “I’ve never had a flesh and blood relative.”

I frown. I’d forgotten he’s a first-generation demon. I’d imagine this is an extra special time for him.

“Thank you, kitten,” he murmurs, kissing her cheek.

She laughs. “It’s so weird seeing you all sentimental.”

Fox grunts, tilting his head at his mother’s voice. He latches on to my arm, popping his little monster head up to look around. He’s the only one who’s been fully transformed since he was delivered. Personally, I think he’s the cutest, but they’re all equally precious, and they all belong to all of us.

Ali spots Fox’s small kraken head bouncing around and coos. “You really are the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen.” He rises up on his suckers, like he might take the risk and death jump to her, so I stand and carry him over. He immediately pops off my arm, burying his face in Ali’s neck as she giggles, clutching at him with her free hand.

“Poor Emerson.” She chuckles. “It’s lucky she’s got Ember, because four boys? Goodness, I can’t even imagine.”

“I think boys are easier,” Atlas says, burping Talon.

“I guess we’ll find out.” Silence laughs.

“I love you,” I murmur, bending down to kiss my wife. I run a hand over Gemma’s back, and she wiggles. Yeah, I’m pretty sure life is going to be a wild ride for the next few years.

Epilogue

Malice

Ilean against the door to the kids’ bathroom. “Where is Fox?”

“I’m peeing in the shower,” Talon calls out. “But I membered to close the curtain this time!”

I snort.

If I were Ali, then I’d correct his vocabulary, but I think it’s cute when they say the wrong word. We make beautiful children, but not necessarily the smartest.

I laugh, shaking my head.

They’re all incredibly intelligent, to the point it’s difficult to stay ahead of their conniving minds.

Rogue and Gemma both lean against the closed toilet lid. They’ve perfected their look of pure innocence, but I’m not buying what they’re selling.

“Where’s your brother?” I stretch out a shadow toward each of them.

“He runned away,” Gemma says.

I look at Rogue, because I know she’s physically incapable of lying to me. The little shit simply shrugs.

I lift them both with a shadow, placing them outside the bathroom, and raise the toilet lid. Fox flies out, clutching on to me with his tiny tentacles.

“You two better run,” I tell the girls. “You’ve got to fight harder, buddy.” I pat Fox’s now human head. “Don’t forget to rinse the shower.” I slap the curtain, so Talon knows that was directed at him.

The girls squeal, taking off on small legs. I grab the towel off the hook and wrap him up.

“They’re bad,” Fox says, crossing his arms over his chest.

“They are quite vicious.” I nod. “You’ve got to stand up for yourself. They don’t torment Talon. It’s like they sense weakness.”

“I will, but I won’t hurt my sisters.” Fox huffs.

“Listen, it comes down to family values. We subscribe to the policy of survival of the fittest. They don’t get special treatment just because they’ll grow into ladies one day.” I hug him.
