I pull him out a bit and lick over the tip as he jolts. He’s barely done coming when he lifts me with his tentacles while moving his torso low. He holds me to the wall, burying his face in my pussy while his appendage still works in and out.

My hands fall to his shoulders for support. I’m so high in the air, it would be intimidating, but Hex cradles me in a way that makes it easy to relax and trust in his hold.

He’s not very coordinated as he laps at my clit, but his enthusiasm gets the job done. I shatter and tighten as electric zips sling their way through my entire body. It’s so overwhelming that I have no idea what to focus on.

I thrash, moaning his name as he kisses my sex. It’s an indescribable feeling. My chest fills with warmth. The bond pulls tight between us, overjoyed with our contact and, fuck, I am too. He’s so warm and his tentacles feel like pleasure and safety all rolled into one.

I start to come down slowly as my head rolls around the wall nearly to the ceiling.

My eyes pop open and my jaw falls.

Atlas, Silence, and Malice in shadow form all stand at the end of the stall, watching with rapt fascination.

Atlas gives me a soft smile, like he’s letting me know he knew this would happen and he’s okay with it.

Malice grins like a fiend.

It’s the look on Silence’s face that makes my stomach drop. There’s an intense expression of longing that makes my chest throb painfully.

They’re two separate entities, but since I never got to know them on their own, I’ve often lumped them together in my mind. It doesn’t feel good to see Silence standing on the outside of a private moment, especially with that expression on his face.

“Excellent show,” Malice says, clapping slowly. “The audience has no idea what they just missed out on.”

“Are you done?” Silence asks in a clipped tone. “It’s been a long day.” He rolls his eyes, spinning and walking off.

Malice winks, giving us a grin before following him out.

Atlas nods and heads after the other two.

Hex pulls me down from where I was suspended, bringing his mouth to mine.

I let myself melt into the kiss, soaking up his soft affection.

Poly is more complicated than I ever imagined. It’s time I tackle this divide between me and Silence before it’s too vast to ever repair.

Silence

Haven truly is a picturesque little monster town. Atlas’s home is within walking distance of everything we could possibly need. I have no idea why the orc has a vehicle at all. I’ve never seen him drive it.

“I would prefer you keep close to Ali’s side for whatever comes next,” Malice says as we head out the back door of The Den. “Your magic is multifaceted, unlike Atlas’s or Hex’s. It’s why I didn’t make a big deal about Atlas staying behind. It’s also a perfect opportunity to prove yourself.”

“What is coming?” I make a grab for his arm.

Or Kash’s.

Whatever.

It’s strange having the nightmare cohabiting in the warlock’s body.

“Keep her safe. Otherwise, I’ll trap you in a nightmare of your own making for all eternity.” He winks at Ali. “See you soon, kitten.” He takes off, jogging down the alleyway.

“Why does that make me nervous?” she asks, looking at me over her shoulder. She’s so fucking beautiful, my chest feels tight when I look at her lately. She’s making progress with Hex, but we almost never get one-on-one time together.

It fucking kills me.

I clear my throat. “I believe he has some type of plan.”
