I spread my legs and let him clean between my thighs. The warm washcloth feels like heaven against my slick skin. And somehow the image of Hunter naked and hovering above me while he cleans me up is even hotter than when he was slick with sweat and thrusting into me a few minutes ago.

When he’s done, his thumb gently brushes over the sensitive skin by my pelvic bone. “Any plans for the rest of your day?”

“Emma wanted me to go shopping with her and her friend Chloe. I’m not much of a shopper, but it should be fun. Some quality girl time.” I place my hand against his chest, loving the feel of his heart beating beneath my palm. My fingers lightly trail down his chest and the smattering of dark hair there.

He grins. “That sounds like fun.”

“What are you doing today?” I ask.

Hunter turns to glance at the clock. “Work.”

“Oh,” I say, suddenly feeling awkward. “I should go.”

With a small smile, he nods. It’s clear I’ve overstayed my welcome. It has been six minutes since my last orgasm so maybe there’s only a five-minute grace period that I’m unaware of. I try not to let it bother me that he’s got plans. This entire morning was unplanned, including me and Hunter deciding to start a strictly sexual relationship. That’s what I should be focused on. This is sex, no cuddling or spooning.

As graceful as a baby giraffe that just learned to walk, I slide off the side of the bed and scurry to the bathroom to pull on my sweat-damp running clothes. Hunter appears from his closet, now dressed in a pair of dark blue lounge pants. They’re low slung on his hips, highlighting those V muscles that make me want to squeeze my thighs together. I make a mental note to spend more time exploring them with my tongue next time.

He’s got a t-shirt in his hands. I expect him to pull it on and ruin my view, but instead he pushes it over my head.

“What’s this for?” I ask, while I pop my arms through the sleeves. The gray shirt reads PRINCETON and is huge on me, the hem nearly covers my shorts. It also smells like Hunter. Delicious.

“Now I don’t have to think about guys staring at you in your sports bra.”

“But now it looks like I’m not wearing anything underneath.” I angle my leg to the side to show the lack of shorts visible there.

Hunter frowns for a second, then gathers one corner of the shirt and knots it.

“Really?”

He shrugs. “I grew up in the nineties.”

I roll my eyes. “God, you’re old.”

“I prefer ‘experienced.’” He uses the shirt knot to pull me closer. “Same time tomorrow?”

“For running or sex?” I ask.

His other hand closes around the end of my wet ponytail, using it to guide my mouth to his. He pulls back, but then places one more kiss against my lips.

“Both.”

CHAPTER11

Sophie

“You have to get that dress,” Emma exclaims when I exit the dressing room, the glass of champagne in her hand paused in front of her mouth to take me in.

“I second that,” Chloe says from her place on the burgundy love seat.

We’re shopping at Bergman’s, an insanely expensive department store that will soon carry bridal gowns that Emma’s label, Emma Belle Bridal, designed exclusively for them. I should say Emma and Chloe are shopping, while I’m wide-eyeing the prices wondering how I can justify paying that amount for one dress. Even if Emma says, and I quote, it’s ‘functional and fabulous.’

“I have student loan payments cheaper than this dress,” I exclaim.

Emma waves me off. “You’ll get the friends and family discount.”

“Bergman’s has a friends and family discount?” I ask.

“Hmm?” Her brows lift.
