Especially with how high up I am within the organization.

"Sorry, Mr. Giovanni," Fiona says with a slight shake to her voice before she quickly turns and heads off to join a group of girls where she knows she will be safer.

"Always so friendly, Father," I comment as I turn to face him head-on.

"Whores like her don't matter," he says dismissively before turning to face the crowd.

"That woman at the entrance in the red dress that has one sleeve. That is Diana."

I glance over to where my father has indicated, and my heart goes up to my throat.

I can't see her perfectly from across the room, but what I do see is a very gorgeous woman.

She has long brown hair that is down.

Her dress does have one sleeve; it is a long sleeve on her right side, and the dress goes down to about mid-thigh.

What is interesting is right around her waist on the left side, she has fabric that drapes down to almost the floor.

Like a side train almost.

The dress is skin tight, and she pairs it off with simple black stiletto heels.

She is beautiful.

A man, her father I am assuming, has a firm grip on her right forearm and starts to practically drag her over towards us.

She gets within five feet before I am able to see her face completely, and then my heart drops to the pit of my stomach.

It's Di, the girl that has been haunting my dreams for the past six weeks.

I can't even tell you how many times I've walked along the Wells Street Bridge with the hope of finding her again.

Only to constantly be disappointed when I never stumble upon her.

And now here she is in the one place she never should have been.

She is going to be my wife, and I have no idea how I feel about that.

Instantly, my mind floods with questions.

Does she know who I am that night? Is this some type of con?

Does she actually like video games, or has she done her research and made herself into the perfect woman for me?

Suddenly, our amazing night together is tainted, and it leaves me feeling cold and bitter.

"Riccardo, good to see you again," Alonzo states once they are close enough.

Now that they are up close, I try to get a read from Diana.

Her eyes shut down, and a fake smile is plastered onto her face.

I vaguely wonder if anyone else notices that she is miserable.

The fact that she is miserable eases some of my fears, at least.

Because if she is as miserable as I am, then marrying me isn't one of her demands.
