There was a rustle nearby.

The thud of running feet.

Grodd snapped himself away from the woman’s crotch and looked around.

It was Jagga. The young ukkur had finally caught up. As he stepped out of the trees, his eyes widened with surprise at the writhing, soft thing caught in the net. Then Jagga’s gaze went to the pink blossom that Grodd had been lapping, and his eyes narrowed with a hungry look.

Grodd growled.

Friend or not, Jagga was going to have to wait his turn to play with the little human. Grodd was not finished licking it yet, and he was in no mood for sharing.

He lurched forward to feast on the human some more, but much to his surprise, the little creature suddenly tumbled out of his grasp, out of the net entirely, and landed with a soft thud in the underbrush below.

The bottom of the net hung in limp tatters. The human had cut it.

So…this creature was more dangerous than Grodd had realized.

Was it equipped with sharp fangs?

Claws perhaps?

With a ferocious, high-pitched screech, the human jumped up from where it had fallen among the ferns and weeds, and Grodd got his answer.

A knife. The little human was brandishing a knife.

CHAPTER 24: JAGGA

Humans, it turned out, were fierce little creatures. Pretty too. Jagga stared in awe at the funny tanned thing baring her teeth and pointing a stone knife at Grodd.

Ever since last night, the scent of the human had been gnawing at Jagga’s brain. He couldn’t get it out of his head. He had suspected the bloody scene in the gorge had been some sort of trick, and now his suspicions were proven correct. The scent he had smelled on the tattered garments last night was exactly the same as the one emanating from the little snarling creature who stood before him now.

And gods, did it smell delicious.

When Jagga had arrived a moment earlier, Grodd had been feasting on the human. He had not actually been devouring its flesh, thank gods. Jagga wanted the human alive and unharmed so he could study it. Instead, Grodd had been lapping wildly at something pink and raw between the human’s legs. Jagga had only gotten the briefest glimpse before the human had cut itself free and tumbled out of the net.

Now that the human was loose, Jagga could get a better look at the creature’s strangely enticing body.

It was built somewhat like an ukkur. Two legs. Two arms. A head atop its shoulders and an upright posture. The only other beings that fit that description were the nith, and this lovely little thing looked nothing like the nith.

Lustrous black hair cascaded down its shoulders and back. Its skin was smooth and tan, but the blush of crimson in the cheeks and supple lips suggested to Jagga that there was red blood coursing through the human’s veins. Ukkur blood.

Then there was the ferocity. The fearlessness. The sense of proud defiance. Those were all traits that resonated with Jagga’s ukkur heart.

But there were differences too.

Big differences.

For example, there were the two luscious mounds of meat on the human’s chest. Those mounds were not hard muscles. They jiggled and bounced every time the human moved. Jagga felt an unaccountable urge to grab hold of those mounds and squeeze them, kneading the soft flesh with his strong hands and toying with the erect nipples.

His loins warmed at the thought.

His eyes drifted lower, tracing the alluring curvature of its hips.

That was another difference. Ukkur like Jagga and Grodd were broad of shoulder and narrow of waist, but in the human these proportions were reversed. Something about those wide hips sent a throb of blood rushing to Jagga’s crotch, and his half-hard cock jumped beneath his loincloth.

And therein lay the biggest difference of all.

The anatomy between the human’s legs. Where its piss stick should be dangling, there was nothing but a triangular patch of dark, curly hair. But Jagga knew there wassomethinghidden down there. That wet pink blossom Grodd had been so furiously lapping when Jagga had arrived.
