“No one’s insulted you!” someone called from our left. “Just that little mage you’ve brought into our camp!”

A roar ripped out of me before the last word had faded. “He. Is. Ours. To insult him is to insult us.” When the echo diminished, I watched out of my peripheral as the entire training yard drifted in our direction, attention undivided. I turned sideways, looking to the other side of the yard. To Theon. He stood pressed between Florin and Cedric, Sephiran, a sentinel behind them. My gaze went back to my precious, blue eyes bright even over the distance between us. He gave me a single nod.

Turning back to the gathered warriors, I spread my arms wide. “Come on, then.” The warriors looked at each other, a few walked to the sides, decent people or those who were unwilling to face our wrath. The rest glanced around for a moment, perhaps seeking direction from the one who’d called out Theon. And then they charged.

Nica shifted between one heartbeat and the next. Braz adjusted his stance, digging in and readying his sword. I shot up into the air, wings lifting me above the heads of the onslaught. Then I dropped, spinning into the mass of them, spear gripped on one end as I swung it in a wide arc around me. It cracked against shoulders and skulls, sending a handful of men face-first into the dirt.

A shifter in wolf form sailed over my head, landing with a thud behind me. I glanced at Braz. The orc was in his element, powerful arms lifting his opponents bodily from the ground with a single swing. To my other side, Nica snarled. His tiger was relentless, trampling everything in his path. We’d positioned ourselves like the points of a triangle, the swarming masses caught between us to be batted around. A feral grin split my face as I waded into the fray.

“Enough!” Kasper’s voice thundered sometime later, minutes or hours, I couldn’t be sure. Shifters in both forms lay strewn over the ground, some unconscious, some groaning. All defeated.

My chest heaved, drawing deep breaths as sweat cooled on my skin. Braz and Nica were the same—still standing and looking battle worn. I met Kasper’s gaze as he approached.

Looking over his fallen warriors, he huffed. “I think you’ve made your point.”

“See that the rest of this camp understands as well. We’re here to pull our weight and do our part—freed slaves, the same as all of you—and we will no longer tolerate the harassment that’s been heaped upon Theon from the moment we arrived. He freed us! He freed an entire House! And the champions of Pelas will defend him with our last breath.”

Theon moved through the yard, stepping around warriors still lying in the sand, and approached my side. I lifted my arm, letting him slot himself against me, arms wrapping around my waist. I kissed the crown of his head.

Kasper watched us, meeting my gaze when I looked back at him. “You have my word.”

I looked to Braz, Nica, Florin, Sephiran, and Cedric. They each nodded in return. “Come on, family, let’s give them space to lick their wounds in peace.”

“Oh goddess, precious,”I panted, buried to the hilt in Theon’s tight little ass and quickly losing grip on my control. Theon was on his knees in front of me, ass up and head down, mouth devouring Nica’s cock. His sweat-soaked hair was a mess from Nica’s fingers. Our tiger growled and writhed, the tell-tale dark red flush creeping down his chest. He was on the verge as well.

I pumped my hips, slamming into Theon over and over, making my boy moan around his mouthful. Sliding my hand from his hip, I gripped the stiff length of him and squeezed, simply holding my hand there so every thrust sent him tunneling through the fist I’d given him to fuck.

A moment later, Nica shouted, his sprawled legs going stiff before spasming as he heaved in a great breath. Theon licked him clean, making Nica twitch and chuckle, then pressed his face against Nica’s flat belly. Nica stroked the fingers of one hand through Theon’s hair, a contented smile on his face. Goddess, I could watch them love each other forever.

“Harder, Wey,” Theon moaned, making me pick up my pace once again.

I fucked him as he clenched up tight around me, a long, low groan spilling out of his mouth as his cock spilled his seed all over my hand and the bed beneath us. With only a few more thrusts, I followed him over. Pleasure burst low inside my body, spreading and devouring every shred of me until I was draped over Theon’s back, panting. I pried my eyes open, sweat-soaked and so, so happy. Gently, I pulled myself from Theon’s body and guided him as he collapsed next to Nica.

Stepping off the bed, I went to the water basin to dampen a cloth. Across the tent from us, Braz had his nose in a book.

“Didn’t want to enjoy the show?” I asked him, still partly out of breath. We’d all long become accustomed to sharing space during sex. Sometimes, watching was half the fun.

He rolled his eyes at me with a smirk. “I caught the important bits.”

I didn’t know where Florin was. Probably out spying on someone.

Getting back on the bed, I wiped down my lovers, pressing kisses into warm skin.

“Wey,” Theon said, voice quiet and happy. “Thank you for today. Thank you all. You didn’t have to fight half the camp’s warriors for me.”

I scowled. Nica growled, and from his own bed, Braz huffed.

“Precious.” I took his chin in my fingers, holding him steady while I met his gaze. “There’s nothing and no one we wouldn’t take on for you.”

Sounds of assent from the others followed my statement.

“I love you,” Theon whispered, his eyes never leaving mine.

“As I love you.” I kissed him, slow and sweet, parting his lips to taste the remnants of Nica on his tongue.

“Weylyn!” A voice called from outside the tent. “Kasper would like an audience.”
