I clapped him on the back. “Just remember to enjoy the day. You’ve overcome a lot of obstacles to get to this place. And look at you now, about to get married to the love of your life. You’re going to become a father in November. Life is good, mate.”

“Damn right,” Ryder agreed with a grin, his nerves visibly eased.

Sid came to stand beside Ryder. “Our second band baby and our first band wife. Good job, man.”

Ryder smiled. “Then it’s your turn. Kaylie will be our second band wife. I wonder who is next?”

Everyone turned to look at me.

I laughed. “I’ve got a lot of work to do before I can convince Summer to tie the knot.” Turning to Ghost, I asked, “What about you? Any thoughts on getting hitched someday?”

Ghost remained quiet for a moment, his eyes distant as if lost in thought. “I don’t know,” he finally answered, his voice soft. “Maybe one day, if the right person comes along.”

“I’m going to remain single forever,” Bash declared adamantly, shaking his head. “Why would you ever give up all your freedom? No ball and chain for me.”

“Is that why Josie is your plus one tonight?” Sid teased, referring to Kody’s nanny.

Bash scowled. “She is not my plus one. She’s here to watch Kody so I can pick up one of the single ladies. The maid of honor is pretty hot, or there’s always Ryder’s step-sister, but she’ll be too busy mooning over Knox.”

I groaned. “Shite. I forgot to warn Summer about Arianna.”

A knock sounded at the door. Ryder’s father poked his head into the room. “Can I speak to my son for a few minutes?”

“Give us a few minutes, Dad,” Ryder replied.

It had taken a lot of work, but Ryder and his dad had mostly repaired their once-troubled relationship over the past few years.

Bash grabbed some shot glasses and Sid began filling them with Jack Daniels Old No. 7 whiskey. Bash passed them out one by one. We stood in a circle, ready to toast Ryder.

Ghost turned to me. “Best man duties — you say the toast.”

“Well, mates.” I lifted my shot glass. “Since I’m going to be delivering the toast later, I’ll give you a little preview of the uncensored version right now.”

I looked around the circle at my mates and then began. “I’d like to say that Talia and Ryder fell in love at first sight, but we all know that’s not true because it was pitch black in the room when they first met. Without even knowing each other’s names or ever having laid eyes on each other, they got a taste of what was to come. Let’s give 69 cheers to tongue in pussy and lips on cock at first sight.”

I got the reaction I expected from the guys, lots of back-slapping, snickering, laughing, and fist-pumping.

Ryder had turned decidedly pale. “Please tell me that is not your toast.”

“Easy, mate. Don’t get your knickers all twisted. The censored version is PG-13, for sure.” I raised my glass—“ to Ryder and Talia,”—and then downed the shot.

Everyone followed suit and then Ghost clapped his hands together and flashed a smile. “Come on, we’ve got a wedding to attend. Everyone, huddle up.”

We all huddled together, shoulder-to-shoulder, just like we did before we went on stage at every concert and tossed our hands into the circle.

Ghost looked around at all of us. “Let’s go get our boy hitched. Ryder, we are behind you all the way. Ride or die.”

“Ride or die,” we cheered as we collectively raised our hands.

I patted Ryder on the shoulder as we started filing out of the room. “I’ll send your father in. Take your time. I’ll be waiting for you when you’re ready, mate.”

I only had to wait for a few minutes until Ryder’s father exited the room and shook my hand before heading to the ceremony.

I looked inside the room. “Are you ready?”

“I’m ready,” Ryder agreed, his voice filled with a mix of nerves and excitement as he took one last look in the mirror. “Let’s do this.”

As we made our way down to the picturesque beach where the ceremony would take place, I took in the breathtaking scene that lay before us. The sun was setting, casting a warm glow across the sand and painting the sky in hues of orange and pink. The waves crashed gently against the shore, providing a calming rhythm for the momentous occasion ahead.
